The original Super Mario Land was a great game, but it was strange. Super Mario Land 2, while the setting is stranger, sticks closer to the Mario series’ splendid gameplay. Along with the Mario Galaxy games, however, this game shows how far Nintendo can be creative with the designs. It turns out that Wario distracted Mario in the first game by sending alien Tatanga to kidnap Daisy. So, he’s the main bad guy, whereas Tatanga serves as a boss in the space world. Space world? Yup, there are 6 different worlds, and all of them have really weird settings. EXAMPLES: Macro Zone pits Mario into a giant house. Mario Zone is actually a factory that, on the outside, is shaped like the plucky plumber.Although the settings are weird, that actually allows Nintendo to push the company’s creativity to their furthest. I mean, seriously, Mario is seen SWIMMING IN WATER that is ATTACHED TO THE CEILING! Not to mention, he can also run across giant Lego blocks, float in space, and fight actual sharks! Never would we have known that Mario would be able to go outside the Mushroom Kingdom by this much. This game is the Super Mario World of Game Boy games, and that’s saying a lot. The main gameplay is what you would normally expect. You can run, jump, stomp enemies, bash blocks, and spin jump your way through about 25 nicely detailed levels. The main power-ups are, as you expect, the Mushroom and the Fire Flower. Yes, that’s right. The SuperBall flower that was in the first game got replaced by the ret.
i got this game on time and absolutely enjoy it thanks for your business i had this game years ago and i enjoyed it then
Back in the summer of 1992, when I heard about this game from Nintendo Power Magazine, I was completely ecstatic. And the patience paid off — the Nintendo designers combined the very best elements of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World and brought it onto the Game Boy.Whereas Super Mario Land had miniscule graphics and not enough levels, SML2 more than makes up for that in spades. You will love EVERYTHING about this game: clear cut graphics, play control, awesome soundtrack, light challenge, etc. Mario has to trek through 6 different worlds: Tree Zone, Space Zone, Macro Zone, Pumpkin Zone, Mario Zone and finally the Turtle Zone. Every single level is crafted to eye-catching perfection. :) And don’t forget that you can unlock secret levels if you explore hard enough.Mario’s fireball power-up is still intact (he wears a feather inside his cap), and the sound effect from both Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3 still sounds very awesome on the Game Boy! He also has a Bunny Suit power-up, which allows him to glide slowly to far-reaching platforms (press and then hold down the A button instead of constantly mashing it). I love how his "bunny ears" flop up and down each time he moves!Once you’ve regained all 6 Golden Coins, it’s time to face Mario’s nemesis at last! But it is NOT Bowser — no, he has a brand new arch rival to deal with — Wario!! :( And he is no pushover either…still, after you manage to beat him and view the game ending, he’ll make a return to hi.
excelente estado fÃsico y funcionamiento.
This game is a must-have game for the gameboy. This game is practically Super Mario Bros. in your pocket. The game is overall a game you can just sit down and play. Also, the icing on the cake, ITS PORTABLE!
ok
Front is worn. Game works perfectly which is what’s more important to me.
Its a good game, I got some fun out of it. I recommend it to others.
When it comes to video games, it’s amazing how we sometimes overlook staple video game characters. Despite the amount of respect I’ve held towards Mario in general the games always seem to be at the bottom of my current backlog of gaming titles. As much as I don’t want to insinuate that these games can’t satisfy more mature gamers (a thought that is just ludicrous) does such an idea subconsciously lurk within my mind? It’s hard to say. Still, when I saw a copy of Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins at the local Game X-Change I knew I had been away for too long. I knew it had to be replayed. One purchase and playthough later I’m pleased to announce that Mario Land 2 is still the game I remember, a game that is in good company with other GameBoy classics like Kirby’s Dream Land and Metroid II. Despite the fact that each Mario game tends to be special in its own way, I can’t think of another game that parallels the refreshing variety seen in Super Mario Land 2’s levels (even the levels within each zone are far from being rehashes of one another) and the zones are clever and keep you guessing with their occasional, alternate exits. As important as control and graphics are to the package, I have to go out on a limb and say the game’s audio is the icing on the preverbal cake. That said the fact that the game is literally over before it even begins is a bit of a buzz kill. Super Mario Land 2 may be longer than a title like Kirby’s Dream Land but it’s still short enough to undertake i.
Awesome game, so happy to be able to play one of my childhood favourites. Great shop, quick shipment and a special thanks for the message on the envelope. So pumped to play, thanks again.
