This game is great. I spent such a long time making my castle and recruting all of the 108 stars in the game. It is very addicting, you buy this and you’ll be pulling all nighters because of this PERFECT game. Buy this game and you won’t be dissapointed at all. I personally think it’s more entertaing than Final Fantasy 10 and Kingdon Hearts. They both are great games, but this is much better.
Ok heres the story…your a boy from a native american/aztec ish tribe…your also a leader of a division in the harmonian army….also a knight in the zexen army….my memorys a little fuzzy….u play as these three for three chapters…then u choose who u want to play as for the next two chapters…these peoples destinys are interwinded….the thing i love about this game is that its storyline revolves around war/goverment/politics I LOVE THAT…which is why i really enjoyed this game…the abd thing is theres no voice overs and the bad thing about no voice overs is..i cant pronounce geddoes name…how do u pronounce “geddoe”?
Man, all this bashing on the graphics, jeezz, cant everyone just follow the story and enjoy the game? anywho, the skill system is great, trinity sight system is by far the best advancement (i mean how often do you see the story from every side including the bad side?) The game is evolving…its been proven you cant sell 2d rpgs as much as you can 3d. thats business, all i am concerned is the story and character development..and by far this definatly is considered a perfect sequel to suikoden 1 and 2…….thats my two cents…..
thank you god for having someone FINALLY make this game. I’ve been waiting for the 3rd installment for so long, that it’s great enough just for that fact alone! Now all we need is a Lufia 3 for PS2!!
never thought a game with no voice acting and graphics that look like could be one ps1 could be one of my favorite games. If your looking for a long rpg to spend time on this is it. Interesting main characters and surprisingly good story. Broken into chapters choose one of 3 main character and seeing events from their pov. When finished given option to move on to next ch with same character or choose another and continue. It sounds tedious but all stories while correlated are unique and different. Each ch. ending on cliff hanger wanting more but then move on to next character and almost forget about last story because its so engaging. If graphics snob then this game is to be avoided, and not closer to hardcore rpg or experienced then would avoid. Its one of few games can spend over 80 hours or more and still be engaged until end.

This series is in desperate need of love. Total gems worth every hour played and every penny spent.
Overall, this is a fairly good RPG. The plot is a little slow but picks up in the later chapters. Not quite as good as the previous 2 suikoden games. I dont really recommned this game if you played the previous 2 games since it is a little repetitive but I highly recommned this game if you havnt played the other 2 games.
The Suikoden RPG series has always been about people who get caught up in events far beyond their control, and how they rise up to that challenge. Hallmarks of the Suikoden games are the necessity of gathering 108 allies (based on an old Chinese legend) and building a castle headquarters where your main base (and source of mini-games) will be.Suikoden 3 is different from past games since it gives you the option of choosing from one of 3 initial heroes to play as. These include a female knight, a tribal youth and a mercenary, each of whom represents a different side of a dangerous, escalating war.To actually finish the game, you WILL have to play all the 3 chapters of each character; this is no problem however since each character’s story is compelling and always intriguing. The great thing about this system, or Trinity Sight, is that you see the story from various viewpoints, so the depth and secrets that are revealed are really rewarding as you play through the game. And that is what Suikoden 3 is all about. Do not look for flashy CG and cinematics, since there are none (except for a magnificent anime movie ‘trailer’ of the game at the start screen), but that really shouldn’t matter. It’s the game’s story and the characters you will grow attached to that will captivate you.Graphics are mixed; the art style is wonderful Japanese anime fantasy style, though the 3D in-game models are slightly cartoony in proportion but not too cutesy- the best part is that they express emotion b.
Suikoden 3My son really enjoyed the game. He plays it all the time and does not get off it.
