Picked up at my local Sam’s club for 8 buck’s!!!!! CHECK YOURS!!!!!!PS3 has Mount Fuji, according to eurogamer.net the versions are identical. I say a total win! And this review is before I even open the package!
Great game! Had it when I had an Xbox so pleased to have found it in the PS3!
I felt it was necessary to take the time to review this awesome game after seeing the average user score on retrolio. Not sure why people are scoring this game low – perhaps they have not taken the time to learn the controls or are simply mental defective. The game has it all: Beautiful landscapes and the most realistic snow graphics in any game to date. Absolutely a blast to play either the trick or race runs down a wide variety of mountains across the globe. Oh not to mention the ridiculously fun wing suit that allows you to glide between mountains for an extended amount of time. The music is awesome as it is in previous titles – when you perform a tricky combo the base blasts so loud (if you have a decent stereo) and really gets you pumped up. Lastly, you can customize your rider with suit, board, and a variety of accessories that help you with the different landscapes (i.e. wing suit, goggles, O2 tank, pick axes, and armor). Let’s put it this way, it is the BEST arcade style snowboarding game EVER created – PERIOD.
If you played the PS2 version of SSX to no end when it came out you’ll love this version as well. The graphics are way better obviously but the new mountains and the new tricks are really cool. You’ll be hooked on this game all over again.
This game would be so much more fun without the chasms that are everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. It’s almost impossible to navigate as you are travelling at such break neck speeds and before you know it you’re falling into a chasm you didn’t even know was there and there was no way to avoid it since when you did finally see it you’re 100 feet in the air and heading right for it. Unless you have a fly suit you’re done for. Sure, you can "rewind" but that puts you behind other racers in all three types. Racing, tricking and surviving. I get that they make the game more treacherous but they also make the game much, much more frustrating than it needs to be. The game play itself is fantastic. Graphics, sound effects, online play, downloading you own playlists are all great features that do enhance the game. Overall it’s a very entertaining game and really builds on the SSX brand but be prepared to be frustrated by the endless "rewinds" you’ll have to pull off after falling into chasm after chasm.
I am enjoying the new SSX game. While it is a different game in many ways, it is also the same as the previous installments in a lot of ways as well. I think that everyone should give it a try if you like extreme sports, snowboarding, or just having a fun competitive time playing a video game. Sure, it isn’t realistic, but that game will come along one day, in the mean time, play SSX and just be happy with it for what it is without criticizing it for everything that it isn’t. New is good, leave the past in the dust, up on the mountain that is!Get it and enjoy./Note: This game doesn’t support split-screen, but does offer a decent single player experience with much competition in the online section.

This is a continuation of a Legend of PS2. Great for people of all ages. Guearanteed to have a great time and competition.
