I had played this game on playstation the first on and i really enjoyed it so now i have it for my sega and i still really enjoy playing it.
Spot Goes to Hollywood is a Sega classic. I loved playing when I was younger and when I get my Genesis working again, will still enjoy it.Game play begins with a choice of three stages. For example, the first set is sea based with, “Ship Hold,” “Shipdeck,” and “Underwater.” Once you have mastered each level, you move on to a new set of three. I believe there are 4-5 of these sets, so there are a lot of fun and challenging levels to complete. Bosses appear in only one of the three choices, resulting in 4-5 bosses for the game.Play is action adventure. You explore each level looking for pennies and random objects like piggy banks, chopping teeth, and all kinds of toys. Use Spot to shoot the bad guys or just ignore them altogether. Many different types of bad guys abound. From pesky throwing crabs, to hopping pumpkins, to tiny robots, you are sure to find many hours of challenging play. The varying levels keep you from getting bored. If you like haunted houses, Indiana Jones, or Sci-Fi, you’ll find a Hollywood level for you. However, if you leave Spot alone too long he will get bored. He doesn’t give you the “I’m waiting look” like Sonic, but breaks out a Viking hat and sings a few Opera notes.Save featuresSpot has some awesome details that make it a great game. At the end of each level you get a spot code to record. This is a “save code” so you can return to that point later on in the game. Example: you have three lives and on the next level you die three times; game over. Well.
