Fun, simple beat-em-up. I am a button masher, so I love this game. There’s a story mode, with a classic love story, and a survival mode.
I have been keeping my eye on this game basically every since it was announced. However it did not really get much press coverage and little hype (short of a few random trailers here and there). The day it was released it had alot of marketing on the major gaming sites. But no reviews? A few days later still no reviews? That will generally concern most hardcore gamers. Since I and a friend were really anticipating the game we just bought it and went for it. Started playing 6pm and beat the game at 2am (on Hard mode). The game was great fun and the combat is much better than I initially thought! There is a lot of replayability here and you unlock the 3 original versions of the game throughout the main playthru. There is certainly nothing Hollywood has to be worried about with regard to the story, and to be honest my friend and I checked out about an hour in because it was just total nonsense and hard to follow (not for complexities but just silliness). However, thats not a problem. The ONLY reason people should play this game is for the gameplay itself and the gore!! Yes the game is EXTREMELY bloody – to the point that it splatters on your screen alot and sometimes almost completely covers the screen. There are “finishing” moves for all enemies that will generate a short quicktime even and usually winds up in the enemies arms/head/toros being ripped off and gallons of blood flowing! It never gets old and even towards the end of the game you might still miss one as yo.
This is one of the coolest games out there! I love the gore, the storyline is good, and the graphics are amazing! Search for your missing girlfriend in a way like never before! Smash skulls, crack bones, and fight your way to victory with the Mask of Terror, a strange demon mask that gives you extraordinary super-human powers! Leave no one standing! I personally would easily give this game 10/10!
I got this game when it came out. This is a definite buy for anyone who has played the original Splatterhouse games, or enjoy seeing a gorefest. The soundtrack for this game is EPIC!!! Half the stuff the characters say in this game will make you laugh. If you can’t get enough of this game there are also DLC on the Market for this game already! The fact that the original 3 games are on this game make it even more enjoyable. The Splatter Kills will make you want to do them everytime, just to see what will happen next. If your looking for hardcore music track, More Blood than Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and things that will make you go WTF!, then you need to buy this game NOW!
good game came in exultant condition if your looking to add a game to your collection heres where to start
Splatterhouse is a game that had originally had a series of 3 games on the TurboGrafx 16. After many years of no addition….Comes Splatterhouse for 360 & PS3. I’ve seen and heard mixed opinions of this game. Both from friends and people online. It looked to be promising in my opinion. And though I still have a TurboGrafx 16, I don’t have the older Splatterhouse games. And haven’t played them in years. Good thing I didn’t ebay them, cause this game actually has all 3 Splatterhouse games as achievements/unlockables. So, onto the details of the game……It’s got elements of a B horror movie fused with things you’d expect in comics. The gameplay is fairly simple & fast paced. Yes, the loading time can be a bit on the slow side. The graphics are not on the level of say Gears Of War or Dead Space. However they are pretty good! The camera can sometimes be a little bit of a annoyance. But overall it’s fine. The original Splatterhouse games we’re 2D side scrolling games. This game is 3D with some 2D ( w/ 3D look) side scrolling levels. The game is very bloody/gory. Throught the game you get weapons such as. 2×4 with a big nail in it, a meat cleaver & a shotgun. You can even use limbs and heads as weapons! And as you pound & bash your way through levels, you earn points you can spend towards upgrading your character atributes (kinda like Prototype). And also if you beat the game on a hard difficulty, you unlock the option to play the game with a friend in multi-player. I bought the.
Good
I freaking love this game…but he warned IT IS NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE FOR XBOX 1..so if you want to play it have an Xbox 360 available..but shipping was fast got here a day early an game did not have one scratch on it
This reboot of SplatterHouse is a game which has a rough start, however if you stick with it, has a satisfying finish. It’s a pity that the game ended on a cliffhanger, and apparently is not going to be resolved any time soon. Some of the issues I had with this game are the long load times, along with a few points in the game where I got lost. These could’ve probably been addressed if the game developers were allowed additional time to polish and optimize the game.In any event, if you have patience, and are willing to muscle through some of the rough spots, the game is enjoyable. The story has a fair share of twists and turns, yet is pretty decent. The voice acting is awesome. The actors and actress did great work, and it’s a pity that we don’t get to see them… err… hear them finish the story they helped start. Please note, this game is not for the feint of heart. There is plenty of gore, and disturbing imagery.Children should NEVER be in the same room as you while you play this game.
This game isn’t up to par with the older games, but it’s worth the price at this point just to get the 3 old ones on the disk. Overall it’s pretty okay, a bit repetitive with the quick-time events, and not terribly deep combat, but I didn’t buy it because I believed it would be the richest gaming experience ever. I expected the game to be more or less what it is, a good beat ’em up with a horror inspired storyline. I didn’t expect the humor to be as sharp, so that was a plus.I’m happy with what I got out of it, but it does have flaws. The controls are good, not great. The game is repetitive at times. The humor was unexpected and welcome. If you’re a fan of the originals, and you understand that that’s not what the base campaign here is, you’ll enjoy yourself enough to justify the price. If you have no idea what the original series is, you may not have as much fun.
