Has a cool story, its abit of work to play though but worth a shot
I must admit, this game is a lot more addictive than I ever thought it would be. Since I started playing I just can’t put it down! There is a lot of fun to be had in this game – solo or cooperatively. The magic system is pretty deep, and I find the save or sacrifice mechanic is very interesting, especially when you’re in a boss fight (the minions). The game is designed so you won’t overuse your powers and you have to use them wisely. Even the really powerful attacks have a cost so it encourages you to employ balance. I love how the game gets you to try and figure out the weakness of a boss in order to secure victory. Weakness in terms of area and the elemental type (that’s like the rock paper scissors thing in Pokemon … fire beat grass, grass beats water but water beats fire). The partner AI is okay (not horrible, but not great). It’s good enough to get you through the game, but don’t expect an Einstein or anything. Playing the game with a friend is best. I was supposed to play it for 2 hours wit my friend yesterday before studying, and that quickly went to 5 hours. Before we knew it we spent all night playing the game.Apart from the AI other issues I had were related to the lack of enemy variety. The game could have used more enemy types for the minions. However, the diversity of bosses compensates for it in some way. The graphics are good, but nothing ground breaking. They’re good enough to get the job done. I like how they story was told through the book as well. Some ma.
Great Game awesome replay value. Its like monster hunter and gods eater. If you like those kinds of games you will like this. You acquire powers by defeating monsters. If you meet certain requirements such as destroying their cursed parts or finishing up a mission in a quick amount of time you get more points for the mission and thus you get rewarded with a rarer more powerful prize to use in your upcoming battles.
I like the game a lot. Don’t take me wrong. The combat is fluid and innovating. Playing for collecting and fusing different spells reminds me of all the RPG games I loved. The formula never gets old. However, the game is flawed. They used the same bosses over and over again. I had to fight the hell hound in multiple quests. Even the minions lacks diversity. I end up fighting birds, spiders, cats and mouses throughout the entire game. The developer change the damage output and all that little stuff. But I just can’t help to feel that the game is little bit repetitive for me. The game also needs some work on balancing. The explosive and "turning yourself to a ball" spells are too good. The close ranged spells are less powerful and useful. Also if you pre-ordered the game and got those OP spells. That will make the game little bit too easy at the beginning (even though you can choose to not use them. But seriously, you are going to use them since it is the part of the pre-order bonus)Pro:*Good combat system*Collect spells and followers are quite fun*Flexibility in terms of progressing the story line and doing the side missions*Good story. Really makes you think about the meaning of monster and humans.Con:*Game can be repetitive.*Close range spells are not as good, needs some rework on balancing*Graphics can be better since it is for the ps vita (not a huge issue for me though)Overall a decent game. If you are into action RPGs, I would suggest you to purchase this title.
Good!
I’m not an RPG fan, but I got to admit that this one caught my full attention. Soul Sacrifice is a well-crafted-and-develop game that delivers an amazing portable experience!
A must have for mature gamers who like stories and medieval time settings. You play as a sorcerer whose job is to eradicate (sacrifice) monsters, but after sacrificing his partner he becomes confused with his cause and is now plagued with the bloodthirsty portion of his late partners soul. There is a lot more to this but i don’t want to spoil the story of the game.Great graphics, awesome story, tonnes of play time and a lot of depth.Game play is challenging and due to the way the weapons work (you have a set amount of uses for a weapon and you have to sacrifice to replenish them) it is rarely mindless, although the game itself is not frustrating.I played the demo and ordered it within the same day.I guarantee that the demo speaks for itself.
I can’t wait for a follow up to this game. Hours of involved gameplay. Great storyline to keep gamers interested. There are a very wide variety of armor and items to use. Question is what will you sacrifice?
Good on the go fun. It’s fun unique style, picked it up on the cheap over the holidays, and i’m only a little bit in as i only have about 20 minutes a day to play, but it’s what it should be for a portable game. I guess if it was a console game I’d want more, but it’s not that and its good at what it is meant to be, a good fun portable game that’ll keep you coimng back.
