The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game develop in Redwood City, California studio of Maxis and publish by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to the first game in the franchise, The Sims. So, the game allows the player to create their own Sim, neighborhoods, houses, and families. Also players manage their Sims so they can experience rewards and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.

However, the Sims 2, like its predecessor, does not have a define final goal as the gameplay is open-end. Sims have life goals, wants and fears, the fulfillment of which can produce either good or bad outcomes. All Sims age, and can live up to 90 sim days or more. And the Sims 2 builds on its predecessor by allowing Sims to age through six stages of life and incorporating a 3D graphics engine that allows the player to get 360º views of the game as oppose to the fix 2D isometric view of The Sims. Also Genetics are a new game mechanic, as previously children in The Sims did not always look like their parents. Although gameplay is not linear, storylines and script events exist in the game’s pre-built neighborhoods.
The Sims 2 was release on September 14, 2004, for Microsoft Windows. A port to macOS was release on June 17, 2005. Eight expansion packs and nine “stuff packs” were subsequently release. In addition, several console versions have been release. The Sims 2 is offer on mobile platforms, with manufacturers such as Nokia offering The Sims 2 from the Ovi Store. A sequel, The Sims 3, was release in June 2009.

I bought this game for my sis for Christmas she always wanted the sims 2 but my pc was not the best because of the specifications you needed. I decided to buy her the Sims 2 for game cube and she enjoys it very much. She was addicted to Sims and talked about getting sims 2 for at least 2 years. The only thing she does not like about this one is that you can’t make children but she likes to Woohoo!! anyway. She like to play it in story mode since there is more adventure that way and thats were you get to unlock streets and clothes etc. The game is great and if your pc is too slow for the Sims 2 i recommend this one.

I received item and it looked like it had been chewed on. There are definitely teeth marks on the disc and it was unreadable in any game systems. Very dissatisfied and disappointed because this was a Christmas present.

Game works great, but it was only the disc
This is my favorite Sims game (closely followed by Sims Castaways on the Wii) out of all the systems. It is the only Sim game that can be played on multiplayer with a dual screen, the load time is much shorter than Sims Pets for example, and it can be played on a GameCube or a Wii. It’s addicting and fun, and I’ve been playing it since I was twelve years old. I’m so glad they’re still selling it online because I think everyone should play.

This is a blast from the past. Talk about a walk down memory lane! The game came way quicker than expected and it works perfectly. When I got it, it had moved out of it holding spot and moved all around the case, and it looked pretty scratched, but it didn’t affect the games performance whatsoever. Thanks!
I just had to buy this game, I got the PC game before the gamecube one, I loved the PC one, but after a while, it just got pretty flat and repetitive, I like the fact that you don’t have to stick with the same clothes every single day, the sims in the console port look pretty more creative than the ones in the PC one. I so love the new under-shirts choices, and I love that you can pick out your shoes and stuff like that, and even choose which style you want it, like, cut it and stuff, but dont think that you can just cut them, the exact way you want them. It usually only has three styles. I love the new analog control, and I really hated it when the people refused to do anything in the PC one, I had seventeen babies in the game, the mom refused to call the nanny, and even take care of the baby, all of them died. I got so mad that I just killed the mom. I was a little disappointed that you couldnt have babies, and age, but you can age, in your way, like, hair colors, face looks, and after they just get too old, you can delete them and “make a new baby” of course she/he would have to be either a teenager or an adult, other wise you would have a very tall sim child. overall, this game is the best game that I have ever bought and played!

Works as expected from seller, not many scratches but does delay sometimes.
I was worried the game would come damaged or broken beyond repair just based off of a few reviews. The disk has some scratches but I was expecting that since the game is old and coming across one in perfect condition would properly be rare. I bought one in good condition and it’s good! As far as I’m concerned it’s a legit sims 2 disc.
Best sims console game yet. I love the fact you can actually move your character.

Received the game nice and packaged! Tried it out as soon as I got it and works great! No frozen scenes or anything! Would defintely recommend buying!
