loved it
Great expansion. My family and I love to play and this expansion we really enjoyed.
I bought this for my brother-in-law and have played the expansion with him a few times. This is a great expansion pack that goes a long way to evening out the number of monsters in the deck. He has most of the expansions and it often left us feeling as if we couldn’t get any monsters making the game progress slow. This expansion evens that out and has some great additions. This might be my favorite expansion and I recommend this highly as an expansion to a great game. Also it has a really cool "reloaded die" game. If you are familiar with the loaded die where you can change a number this lets you change a number again after that which was a neat addition.
This was a very fun expansion!
Munchkin!
One of the better expansions, had a lot of fun with the gang.
Me and Wife love the Munchkin games, and this is a great expansion for the game.
The centaur and lizard guy races are great additions. The new class enhancers are pretty nice too.
By now, Munchkin has become something of an icon in the non-electronic gaming world. The game play is relatively straightforward: (1) collect cards that give you points, (2) flip over cards that depict monsters, (3) compare your points to the “level” of the monster, (4) defeat the monster or attempt to escape (depending on the results of your points comparison). Each card contains its own set of rules that affect game play, so each card contains (often substantial) text. The game is fairly flexible in terms of the number of players it can accommodate, but somewhere between 3-5 is probably best. If you stick to those numbers, a game will usually take around 30-45 minutes. This set CANNOT be played as a standalone game but is rather a (fantasy themed) expansion to the original Munchkin core set (although it is also compatible with any of the many Munchkin sets and expansions).Overall, the play is very fun, portable, fast-paced, and often amusing. This expansion adds a number of amusing cards to incorporate additional variations and twists on the game, and does a great job of breathing new life into a wonderful game. The addition of two new classes (Lizardmen and Centaurs)– are both very entertaining.Note that this particular expansion set, like its core game counterpart, is fantasy themed — in other words, if the player doesn’t enjoy (or won’t understand) Dungeons and Dragons and Lord of the Rings jokes, you are better off getting a different set of Munchkin cards (Star Munchkin.
Half Horse, Will Travel is a 112 card expansion for the Fantasy Munchkin theme. It contains 77 door cards and 35 treasure cards. One of the things I like best about it is that it includes TWO new races (Centaur and Lizard) — which bringing the total number of races to 8 if you count humans. And perhaps my favorite thing about the set is that it adds three race/class enhancers (you can be Elite, Legendary, and Elder). The number of cards and the fact that it adds two races and the race/class enhancers adds to the variety and replayability more than any expansion in the game. You don’t need a ton of expansions to get the most out of the base game, but the base game and least two are definitely worthwhile investment. I own all of the Fantasy Munchkin expansions, and if I were to recommend an order to get the most new variety for your dollar, I would suggest this one and
