Believe it or not, this was my daughter’s favorite in high school (she is in college now). We would RE4 on Friday and Saturday nights, and take turns as ‘spotter’ and shooter… weird to say that something like this became a daddy and daughter thing, but it did (and just think, she wants to be an elementary school teacher!).We would go at this for hours, and we made it all the way to that nasty dude hanging in the barn. Think one of these nights she will come back on Break and maybe we will finish the job!Weirdest, oddest, bestest first person shooter game out there IMHO. Get it and go forth and conquer.
Great game even considering buying it again here years later on the ps4.
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is a great title that every Wii/Wii U owner should have. The motion controls are precise and fun to use. Getting headshots has never been easier. It’s also a lengthy game with a ton of content unlocked after beating it’s campaign mode.
Resident Evil 4 is a great game. Having not played a plethora of video games myself, it is hard to judge the quality of this game in comparison to others, but I did find that Resident Evil 4 was enjoyable and had a unique atmosphere to it. Despite limited familiarity with the franchise and, for that matter, the genre, it was very fun to play. Although criticised by some for its departure from the survival-horror genre, the mix of action, adventure, and horror makes for an intriguing introduction to survival-horror and the Resident Evil franchise. I get the feeling that it provides an iconic and different entry to the series, while at the same time retaining enough of the the atmosphere and storyline to please newcomers and long-time fans alike. The extra features on the Wii version in particular make it a great buy, as they give more depth to the story (especially the Separate Ways scenario, which details Ada’s part in the plot of the game) and add replay-value. The controls, though strange at first, are quiclky mastered and feel natural. It should be given a try by anyone who is already a fan or who has an interest in seeing what there is out there in the world of Resident Evil and survival-horror in general, as well as anyone who wants to have an enjoyable, if slightly different, video game experience. It is definitely worth the price.
Great Resident Evil Game for the Wii. Good Graphics, smooth play, and the addition of pointing and shooting adds to it. Only negative, is that you can not change the buttons for the wii remote wand in the game, would have preferred targeting to be set for the C or Z button on the chuck and the trigger button set for the B, Makes it hard if not impossible to use with any of the gun accessories I have used. Other than that the extras are nice, Playing through Ada Wongs missions that coincide with what Leon has done, or seeing her own story arc, as well as the mercenary missions are great. Like killing Zombies, RE4 still great.
I haven’t played an FPS since Doom, but I’d read such good reviews about the Wii version of this game I had to try it. Surprisingly, it lives up to the hype. The control scheme is great, it’s very natural and satisfying. Gameplay is good too; not too easy, not too hard. I’ve never been a fan of games where you can’t save whenever you want, but the combination of spots you can save manually plus automatic checkpoints as you enter places you’re likely to get killed works well. I liked the atmosphere as well, it seemed immersive (i.e. scary). My first time through I was nervous and took things slowly, so it took 88 hours. My second run, keeping all the gear I had from the first, took about 18. Amazingly, it’s just as fun the second time through, especially since you make enough money to upgrade all your weapons. You also unlock two new weapons at the end of the first run, which is nice, although the infinite launcher costs too much to afford for quite a while. After I made enough money to buy it I ran through a third time in about 11 hours – that was a blast, literally :)Good points: – Visuals and music combine for an immersive experience – Great, natural control scheme for moving and shooting – Wide variety of weapons, each with its own use, leaving you the fun of using the ones you prefer (though there are a couple of short sections which are much harder if you don’t use a rifle with infrared scope) – Interesting story for a first person shooter – You get some of the feel of a.
EXCELLENT GAME, the family and friends LOVE this game. Full of action, full of fun, make’s you think about what will come at you next. If the other Resident Evil games are like this one i will buy them all.
I had this game before on my gamecube but now that its available on my wii as well it makes it all a lot better! now i can really aim on screen with the control which makes easy killings and shooting. In the end, its a great game which i would reccomend
This is by far one of my most favorite games on the gamecube, once they came out with the ps2 version i was annoyed that they had extra stuff. so when the wii version was announced that had all the ps2 extras and better graphics i was all too excited, had it pre-ordered and waited patiently then the day finally came when i could play it. i have already beaten everything all over again and i have to say that this is by far the best version of RE4 hands down..
I’d probably get this on a different console (I do) but this is fun if you’ve already beat it or wanna make it real easy
