Just what I wanted, I actually thought it came with a game or 2 but I was wrong but as for the game itself and the speed of the delivery it is great
I really enjoy my Playstation 3. I didn’t enjoy a few things. One, it came in the mail wrapped poorly in one sheet of bubble wrap, loose cords, and a loose controller. It was busted a little bit on the back corner. The controller doesn’t vibrate, only rattles on the inside. If I shake the controller it rattles like something is broken or loose inside. The Playstation often freezes on me. Other than that, it’s pretty good. Just an obvious but neglected tip: don’t go for the cheap price. It may seem expensive at first, but you’ll enjoy it in the long run.
…that hasn’t already been said. It arrived looking brand new just as described. The newest super slim PS3s are a better deal hard drive-wise, but a super slim was out of the question because of the top-loading disc; my PS3 has to rest on a narrow shelf on my audio/video rack. I also think the super slims are hideous compared to this slim unit. Sony’s lack of IR control and not including an HDMI cable is, as CNET’s review said, a joke. IR control would make this a 5-star review.IMPORTANT, READ ON IF YOU WANT BASIC CONTROL OF YOUR PS3 VIA INFRARED. If you have a relatively new TV or home theater receiver, turn on their HDMI CEC feature. Different brands have different names for this feature: Panasonic calls it VieraLink, Samsung calls is Anynet, Onkyo/Integra calls it RIHD, Sony calls it Bravia Sync…you get the picture. It allows devices interconnected via HDMI to communicate and control each other with an IR remote. I’m using my Integra AVR’s remote to control the basic commands of my PS3 without having to buy a Harmony remote + PS3 adaptor!
I use it more for Netflix and Blu-Ray players than actual gaming. This thing puts out a great picture. Fits well in my media cabinet. Money well spent. I’m glad these slim ones use less power than the original as well.
I have two xboxs and two playstions, and a wii. So, I am not going to argue which system is better because they all have good and bad points. However, what stands out with the Playstation is the ability to play Blu-rays, 3D discs, and 3D games. Another plus is if your xbox live gold expires, you can still watch netflix in HD on your Playstation for free.

PS3, controller and cables came in a no-frills package with no instructions. That’s okay because I needed another DVD/blue ray player and since I have a handful of PS3 games this was a no-brainer. Around $30 more than a basic player you get a PS3 player and 160gb of memory. Good deal. Be warned; this player will not play older PS2 games.
I had the original fat PS3 which died. After that for a while I didn’t feel like spending $300 on another machine.Finally, I gave in cause you can play Netflix on it.There is nothing to complain about hardware. I do wish PS3 Move was more like Microsoft Kinect but then again you cannot get everything you want. Due to recent PSN outage, I could not watch Netflix, I think that’s very stupid design, one service outage renders your whole machine useless for online entertainment.
