Amidst the scorched sands of ancient Persia, there is a legend spun in an ancient tongue. It speaks of a time borne by blood and ruled by deceit. It is within this war torn land that a young Prince discovers a magic dagger. Embark on a journey of scorched sands and ancient legends. Guide the Prince on his quest to reverse the curse by using the Sands of Time, a power which allows you to erase the past, see into the future and slow down the present. He must tread these dangers carefully, however. Because in this world, there is only one rule: master the Sands, or be buried.

This is a classical revival of the classic PC platforming game where you started in the dungeon and had to escape upwards to the highest tower to save the princess from the evil vazier. This 3D version has exactly that type of classic platforming where you essentially go higher and higher up to the top of the tower but the focus is not saving the princess but rather returning the sands of time to the hourglass. The platforming in this game in incredible. It has a great story and presentation. The combat is not that good but you don’t have to fight much in the game… and you have the use of the sands of time powers to make the combat easier. This game is the first of a trilogy in terms of the story. This one is rated T for teen but the others are M for mature.Definitely get and play this game… and then if your old enough for M rated game than get Warrior Within and Two Towers as well where the combat, platforming, graphics, etc continue to improve and the story of the trilogy is completed.
Absolutely great quality game, obviously it was used. Great condition and a throwback to childhood!
Works great
This game is one of the most intense and wonderful action games I’ve played in a long time. Its completely interactive from characters to the world around the Prince. This game was beautifully engineered and constructed. It moves flowingly and the humans are very characteristic and move just like a real human. The sand creatures are varied and have thier own persona and functions which keeps your interest. The story is detailed and mind capturing. Also, the way the Prince tells his story keeps you from leaving it. The game is challenging and the puzzels are difficult. However, they are also intruiging and fun, which is good because I haven’t found a game that could leave you so saticfied after you completed something. I’m actually having a hard time explaining the greatness of this game and all of its glory. All in all, this game is very very fulfilling and I recomed it to anyone, even if you like action games or not.
its not only sword fighting you also use your mind with all the traps and puzzles the prince must pass through. well i will admit its a very fun sword fighting game to but not quite as good as the second one though(which is awesome game to)If you dont own either of them buy them both at the same time and you wont get off your couch until you beat them both. great graphics though to the best ive seen. and the controls are very easy to control and thats what makes it such a fun game.
Not to sound like an idiot, but I have loved Prince of Persia since the beginning of the series. Prince of Persia 1 amazed me, Prince of Persia 2 seemed like it had to be the best game ever, and when Prince of Persia 3D cameout I couldn’t wait!!As it turned out 3D didn’t really do much for the Prince franchise, but this game makes right everything that was (barely) made wrong with the prior attempt at 3d-izing Prince of Persia. If you’re reading this review, you’ve probably already read 80 reviews that say this game is the game of the year, BUT THERE IS A REASON EVERYONE IS SAYING THAT!! This game is an amazing amount of fun, and was definitely worth the $50 I spent to buy it.The Sands of Time feature is amazingly cool, and is probably the most exciting thing to add to gaming since bullett time in Max Payne. The Prince’s swashbuckling kickass sword play is sooooo much more fun than shooting, punching, or jumping on (think Jak and Mario) your enemies!! All video games should have swords as mandatory weapons because they are such a better weapon (you all know how much cooler Pirates of the Caribbean was than the Matrix Revolutions and it’s because of the swords!!).My biggest complaint about this game is the health meter. The designers should have stuck with the typical life potion bottles that the Prince games have always had, but whatever, it’s not really that big a deal.I know this isn’t the most descriptive review ever, but you’ve probably already read those in the gam.
As the newest in the series of Prince of Persia (starting with the original 1989 game), one can expect a lot from a game bearing this title. Besides, "The Prince of Persia" has been the base inspiration for many other games, books, and even movies. With all this said, as well as viewing the flashy commercials you are probably wondering whats with the review’s subject line.Well, to explain, this game is basically what you may want, or may not want. If your into fighting and want to rough up some bad guys in a game then this sadly is not the game for you. However, if solving puzzles like figuring out how to get from point "A" to point "B" when "B" is some forty feet up is your thing, then you may consider getting this game. The plot is pretty simple. Your character has been tricked into releasing the sands of time, and these sands consume every living thing it comes in contact with and turns them into mindless entities called sand creatures (*something of a zombie, but not*). The Prince however is spared thanks to an odd dagger called the "Dagger of Time". However, the prince is not the only survivor. The daughter of the palace’s ruler Farrah also survived due to another odd artifact (a medallion) and now its up to you to get both characters out of there alive.A good 75% of the game is all about skill. Pulling off moves like running on a wall only to jump on a bar and swing to a ledge sounds impressive, however its this use of th.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was a great play. I rented it to see if I liked it, which I did but the downside is, I already beat it. You control the Prince, who sometimes has smart a$$ remarks to the Princess … but who wouldn’t? Sometimes, you really do hate her. The weapons are a sword and the dagger which gives you the power to turn back time with the sand. I loved the fact that in this game there wasn’t really any HUGE bad guy (except the end which was a disappointment but more on that later) … mostly, you fight regular enemies, only they come in 3s and 4s and are at times extremely difficult. It would be hard not to use any sand circles. You will also have to turn back time if the Princess dies in battle. The game is mostly adventure, climbing walls, using polls to swing from … a puzzling game. The puzzles aren’t nearly as hard as some in other games but they are still mind boggling and could have you wondering for hours. There isn’t a need for a guide in this game, unless you really REALLY need one, at save points you see a “vision” where is basically shows you what is to come. If you pay close attention to the vision, you should know what to do. As I said earlier, the final enemy was a disappointment, an old sorceror who is extremely EASY to beat. Especially after he says ‘any last words to the Princess?’, he just stands there, I didn’t know what to do so I started hitting him with my sword and to my surprise, it worked! It’s a must play, a ga.
This game was quite enjoyable to play, however I was able to beat it in about a weeks time (which was ok, because I only had a week to complete it and return it to the video rental store). I must say, the graphics were gorgeous, the voices nice to listen to, and the fighting excellent and fun. All in all, a very good game. I was a bit disappointed with the ending, considering Farah doesn’t remember the Prince at all! Plus the end fight was outrageously easy.Otherwise, this game was VERY enjoyable, and I can’t wait for the second one to come out (according to sources, it involves an island of some sort).Hurray, for the Prince of Persia!
This game is awesome!! Great graphics and great 3DF effects!! The way you use the sands of time to make slow motion effects and to return to past is fabulous…You really gonna enjoy it.
