This has always been my favorite sports game and favorite NBA game of all time. Great PS2 must-have.
This game got me through my summer job. In this game, you can choose to be an old school team or a new generation team. You can be a hall of fame player like Wilt Chamberlain and Doctor J, or a newfound celebrity player like Kobe Bryant or Allen Iverson. You can pick what type of basketball court you want to play on according to the city. They even have a section where you can be Nelly or one of the St. Lunatics. I love the way the controller vibrates everytime you make a dunk. When you play this game you really feel like you are playing on a basketball court because you get all into the game and feel very competitive. You sart talking junk to the other players, run around trying to steal the ball from them, and then find yourself jumping up and down when you win your game or make a really nasty shot. The graphics are good on this game also.
I think this game rock because if you played on the Playstation 2 game lately i think all of my people could beat me in this game i got lots of cool players like Yao Ming, Steve Francis, Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan. And tell your parents to buy this game or rent it at your local video store to get this game it was the bomb baby.Pros:*Osmosis—this cat is THE TRUTH…he can completely change the course of a game in two or three plays Street Legends such as MJ, Magic, Pistol Pete, Earl The Pearl Monroe and Tiny Archibald More and better moves and dunks ( Off The Heezay, back 2 Papa)Custom moves— now every player doesn’t have the same moves and each legend and street player has their own custom move…you can mix and match these different dunks and moves on your created player Trick Points- now the game rewards you for those sick moves and then pulling up for a sweet jumper right in someone’s eye. No longer do you have to finish the play with a dunk to get lots of trick points…I picked up 50,000 pts. off a regular play..no gamebreaker involved. Level 2 GB are also welcomed.· Be A Legend Mode-now the game has EXPONENTIALLY more replay value…this mode is long The difficulty has been raised (until you max out like three characters )…no longer can you get Bonafide and just rip through the defense with very little trouble…nope now they can trick counter to steal the ball· Better defense· Better music and commentary (thank the lord) Just Blaze, Nate Dogg, Ta.
NBA Street Vol. 2 is the best game I’ve ever played. it is so cool bouncing the ball off your opponents head for an alley oop. Also, the retro jerseys are sweet and the gameplay is tight, better than last year. All in all, and excellent game.
Great Quality for a used product
this game definitely lives up its hype. all the pros described by the other reviewers are absolutely true. The only con that has really disappointed me is that there is no KAREEM ABDUL JABAR in the game! I thought he would be the last legend to unlock, but then it turned out it was the young Jordan in 85. No doubt that the 20 somethin’ year old Jordan is the best u can have. but if James Worthy is part of the legend selection, so should be Jabar – one of the greatest legend! I’m amazed that nobody has pointed this out yet. maybe EA purposely tries to save him for vol.3? if so, this is very sick!

One of the best games for the PS2
Wow, I was just amazed. For the [one] that said the graphics are not good, well don’t belive him!!!When I first played, I was amazed at the gameplay. The announcer is just hilllarious-“Do you even know how to SPELL defense?” This is a must buy for ALL Nba street fans and even those fans of NBA 2k3, or NBA Live 2003.Plus, you can get double game breakers and the are really tight!!!!!!! Bounce it of their head even!
NBA Street 2 is a better version than last year’s and the best part is the fact that they got rid of the annoying announcer!! Fast gameplay, better teams and players, and a great create your own player makes this game a must have.There are no starting lineup intros, no coach intros, and no shoe editing. You can’t edit numbers and attributes either, but this is an arcade and not a simulation.This game is so fast, and the computer runs the break everytime and throws alleyoops and throws down sick jams everytime. It is very arcadey.Take control of TMAC, Kobe, THUD, even rookies like Drew Gooden and Yao Ming! Also take control of the awesome Ben Wallace, who can pack shots with ease in this game! The legends are all here as well, including three Jordan’s – the 1985 MJ, the 1996 MJ, and the Wizards MJ. The Wizards MJ, for some reason, always wears pants instead of shorts.Get this now, you won’t be disappointed!!
