For ages basketball games have been hampered by the clunkiness of their execution, poor AI opponents, and being far from an homage to the fans. NBA2k11 is the complete antithesis of all the above flaws. Is it THE perfect basketball game? No. But it comes quite close! Below you will find my thoughts on what was done awesomely as well as what was done poorly.WHAT WAS DONE RIGHT…Beautiful B-ballers:Though graphics do not necessarily make the game, NBA2k11 paints true to life avatars of some epic b-baller greats. Bone structure, muscle tone, facial expressions…you name it! Each is done with lots of care and precision. Thankfully this attention to detail also translates well when it comes to the player animations too. One teensy flaw in this category though is the animations for coaches and fans are much less impressive. Where Kobe’s court prowess comes off as smooth and silky, the Laker’s coach comes off as robotic and rigid. There’s also the occasional muddiness or lack of aliasing woes in the PS3 version. Regardless of the hiccups, the presentation is still a satisfying experience for whichever console you play on.Arena Atmosphere and Sounds:Everything about the arenas in this game make it feel as if you are in the midst of a fever pitched basketball game. The crowd is far from a mass of 2 or 3 clones but rather very unique looking at all angles. The cheer tracks do not sound canned and the excitement in the revelry rises when you score some sweet slam dunks o.
NBA 2K11 (ps3) did not disappoint , it came through and became the best sports game ever made……The game is very exciting and fun to play , especially with friends because it gets competitive. A must have/play game!Pros –The layout of the game(home screen) is very easy to navigate-All the new Features like the Jordan Chalenge keeps the game interesting and unlocking the Air Jordan Shoes gives an excitement to the players-The updated rosters – online match up and etc.. flows very well-The Characters appearance – from their facial expression while playing the game looks very realisticCons –Some lag when playing online but it might be due to my connection
Game got here in estimated time. Its alot better than any EA game for that matter, Its also not as easy as just going in and shooting and shot you want and making money on them lol. Its a realistic game AND they have daily roster updates to keep up with injuries and ratings (Ratings are not over the top, Carlos Delfino of the bucks *my favorite team* has averaged 30 points a game for the last 3, and gone up from i think a 60 to 68, at this pace he should finish in the high 70’s low 80’s, but its not like guys get 10 points overall increase because of one good game) even if you dont like basketball all that much, for this price the game is worth it

Nba 2k11 is by far the best basketball game out there and 2k has outdone itself. First off you can use MJ in the MJ challenges and the MJ: Creating a Legend in which you can place Michael Jordan on any current team you want. Also, 2k sports has tremendously improved the My Player mode. Even though it takes a while to improve your player, it is very rewarding in the end. Online play is great and there are very few flaws in the game presentation. If you love sports games especially basketball, this is definitely the game for you.

I’ve been playing this game for the past week. It does have some improvements from 2K 10.Pros:- You can use MJ and classic teams from the 80s ~ 90s VS present NBA teams.- The graphic is better…such as player’s face looks more real.- The moves are more real than 2K 10.Cons:- The defense (from CPU) is TOO tied.- It is not responsive. For instance, it always takes a second(+) before shooting the ball.

Once you figure out the shooting aspect of this game you’ll become addicted to playing it over and over again. It took me some time to master the shot technique because it takes into account that each player has a different shooting style. It makes it super realistic. The graphics are amazing. In fact my wife thought that I was watching a real game on TV and then I informed her after laughing a bit that it was the video game on the screen and not a live game. Everything is customizable too so if you want your shots to fall more than 50% of the time you can go into your gameplay settings and set it at whatever you desire. Great game!
