The game is more action-packed than Mario Kart. The speed is higher, but there are flaws.1. Tracks- there are only a dozen tracks, and you’ll get bored with them.2. Power-ups- People say they’re a rip-off of the Mario Kart games, but SEGA did the same thing with Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing. But there isn’t much variety of power-ups in NASCAR KART RACING.3. Once you beat it, it isn’t fun anymore.Overall, The game is good, they need more tracks and car selection, though. But if you want good racing, this game is good. :)
Fun
Not particularly challenging — too bad this was the only NASCAR release by EA for the year, BUT my six year old really seems to enjoy it. Best of all the kart games I’ve seen.
This racing game is good and it’s fun also. No, it’s not as good as Mario Kart, but it is similar and handles the same way. You can shoot bombs, missiles and other things at your opponents. I was happy with it. The controls are relatively easy to handle also.
My kids love this but I actually bought it for me. Kind of cheesy. Buy it for the kids, not adults or even teens. They will be disappointed.
this game is like mario kart but….. 10X better!!!!!!! every1 order this game if dont like it return it thats all i can say
It as a very good racing game especially if you are a NACAR fan however the kids still prefer Mario Kart.
The game is a little difficult, but a lot of fun. It just takes a little practice at first.
Anyone who begins a review with something such as “I put it back in the box after only ten minutes” is a knee-jerk gaming dolt. We want a review, not a cheap opinion. Dr. B offers very little in his negative rating. I agree that there may be a few superficially high ratings here, but it is evident that he, and a few others, have not played the game very much. The graphics and controls are fine, though the graphics indeed suffer in 3-4 player mode. There are three difficulty levels, and a myriad of unlockable tracks and trophies. You will discover that if you attempt to unlock all of the tracks that there are several extremely difficult “challenges” that can require several hours or even days to surpass; thus you may need to seek some advice or “cheats” to complete a series. So what if there is a similarity with Mario Kart? The weapons, etc., are well suited to the Nascar theme. The cheap critics pan the game as similar to Mario Kart and the rip its most distinctive attribute as “stupid.” As others have maintained, the team concept makes this game remarkably unique and enjoyable. My kids have played it since the day it was released and have not grown tired of it, or Mario Kart. In fact, one could make a good argument that both Nascar and Mario Kart are must-haves for the Wii.
My 5 year old wanted a racing game for our new Wii. We bought him this one since it was rated E for everyone and that he loves NASCAR. Within two days he was placing first place and even beating me at it. It is a fun and easy game to learn. We both have a blast playing it.
