In August 1992 , a combat video game called Mortal Kombat Komplete was release in the arcade. The game uses real film sequences of actors for the design of the characters. Breaking directly with the usual graphics of a video game. This bring more realism. The success was there and it result in several sequels. Mortal Kombat II. Mortal Kombat 3 and its improve opuses.
However, the story begins with the aftermath of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Where almost all of the Kombatters got kill. And only two Kombatants survived: Raiden, the God of Lightning and Shao Kahn. The Emperor of the Underworld. But Kahn saw his powers increase by killing Blaze. And is currently engage in a Kombat with Raiden. Where he easily wins and mocks the Lightning God. Thereby destroying his Amulet. And realizing that the Kombat is lost. Also Raiden gathers a few shattered pieces of his Amulet and sends an encrypted message to his Past Self. Including the words “He must win”, moments before Shao Kahn delivers a killing blow to him.
Plot
The game’s director, Ed Boon, described it as an altered re-telling of the events of the first three Mortal Kombat games (Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Mortal Kombat 3).
Raiden is about to be killed by Shao Kahn. And just before he delivers the last blow. Raiden sends a mental message to his earlier self by saying that he must win. And the camera rewinds back to Mortal Kombat 1. The Raiden from Mortal Kombat 1 then gets the message and experiences a premonition. Moreover, the game then spans Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3. Rretelling the story with an enlighten Raiden. Who change the course of events. Eventually, everything the player has seen happen before Liu Kang winning. Also Lin Kuei turning into cybernetic ninjas has alter. Furthermore, you might see a cybernetic character who wasn’t before. And a different version of events.

The Kollector’s edition pack is worth every penny. Bookends are excellently detailed. The extra booklet is also a wonderful bonus. And the game, well, what can I say, it’s bloody awesome!

As of this review (4/20/11), you need to know that this game is great but has a problem with freezing. This is a direct result of Update 1.01 which is supposed to enable online play. My advise is NOT to update to version 1.01 until a better version is released. I still recommend buying this game though.

I don’t have anything to say about this game extept that it made me come back to Mortal Kombat after 16 years of absence. My favorite characters are there. The timings and combos are there. The gore is there. The only things I miss are the babalities and the brutalities of the days of old.I haven’t yet checked the online gameplay, but if they managed to get it right, I’ll be playing this game for quite a few years to come. There is no game like Mortal Kombat 9. :-)
ok the book that comes with it is nice, the bookends seem to be of good qualty resin, and as for the game it is what MK fans have been waiting for.. yes the gore is back and better then ever. the play control feels nice. even that Dan Thoasty! guy will pop up and say something. i might have wanted to see some of the older members but they do have some new ones, maybe they will find a way that we could download other players, but it does have the “God Of War” and that is neat.

Multijugador para pasar horas birriando con los amigos.Jugar con Kratos es como jugar GodOfWar III en man to man.Super recomendado, excepto para los que no puedan ver sangre.Edición de colección muy buena: Bookends grandes, pesados y muy detallados; Libro el arte del combate es un libro de arte; avatars y custom ninja son puntos extras positivos. Hasta el diseño de la caja de empaque sirve de adorno en el estante.

I grew up on this fighting game series. I remember playing the first Mortal Kombat back in 1992 at a local roller skating rink. I’ve bought almost all the games at some point through the years and for different consoles. This one combines all of the good element from the past to go along with the much improved graphics and those ever so graphic fatalities. There are a ton of modes ranging from the traditional arcade and story mode to online play. You can even play as two different characters and tag back and forth for some really cool combos. Plus, the more you play the more stuff you unlock.I paid $35.00 more for this Kollector’s Edition and it’s a good one. Compared to most Collector’s Editions (which I normally avoid), I feel this one is worth the extra money. The Scorpion and Sub-Zero bookends are well made and look just as good, though I wish they were made of resin instead of hard plastic. You also get a sleek looking 100+ page art book and three online codes (Ermac’s original costume, MK Avatars and a code that pays the $10 online fee for you).If you like fighting games, Mortal Kombat (2011) is one of the best I’ve ever played. Yes, they do tend to get a little old after you’ve been playing for an extended period of time, but I have put in 15 plus hours and I’m still looking forward to the next time I can use Scorpion to cut my opponent into tiny pieces.
