Gameplay and graphics stand the test of time, for PS2, great game.
This is one of the best Gundam game around. The best thing is you can pilot 50+ mobile suit in their CG version, now I can enjoy the game with my 9 year old son because of the easy game control.Unlike the PS1 gundam assault game in which so many buttons has to be entered in order to activate an attack, the gundam VS Zeta gundam has much easier game control I highly recommended to all gundam fans
they gave me the game with basically all of the important parts. the Manuel, the case and most importantly the games that had minimum scratches. Also there is nothing wrong with the game when i play it.
There is a fair share of good and bad with this game. As far as gameplay, controls, graphics, character movement, and challenge, I give it an A+. However, for monotony, grading system, and lack of cinematics, it gets a D. For my initial experience with this, I hadn’t played Federation vs Zeon yet, and had played Gundam Encounters in Space. Now, after playing Federation vs Zeon, I can say they’re both good games, but do need some improvement. What this game has that FvZ did not:Wider selection of mobile suits, better sound effects, alternate colors for every unit depending on faction. By sound effects I mean mostly with Ground Type federation units. In this game, their guns make a sound when you reload the ammo magazine, same with Gundam MK-II. In FvZ, they did not. but that’s a minor complaint. For the main campaign, you get to play as all the main characters, and even some of the minor characters. You get to play all the major missions, and even unlock alternate endings to where your faction eventually controls the entire Earthsphere. However, there are drawbacks. Since you get to play as ALL the characters, you find yourself playing the same mission over and over and over again. That gets boring after a while. If this were an arcade game like Federation vs Zeon was (as far as I know) then it would have been OK. Another thing: The Multiplayer. While it does have a nice selection of stages, not all mechs can be used in every environment. The Big Zam can’t be used in a Zero Gra.
Simply put, this game is a must for Gundam fans. Story line alone (with extra “what if” scenarios including keeping certain characters alive/killing them off) will take many many hours to complete. Primarily, this game plays off the successful game play style of Federation vs Zeon (which will always be #1 in my heart) with music, fights, characters, everything pulled right from Zeta Gundam. The only problem with this game, other than a few personal grievances (especially the stupid orange stripe marking the boundaries) is the repetitious game play. Otherwise, another game Gundam fans must experience.
Thanks for your quick delivery of the game. I appreciate that the directions were included. I’ve got a very satisfied 5th grader! Thanks.
If anyone has ever played Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon, then Gundam vs. Zeta is the game for you. The title kind of throws you off but the gameplay and 3rd person view says it all. I’ll list some differences between both games from my point of view. When I put “Character”, it means a hero/heroine from both good and/or evil side such as Amuro + CharDIFFERENCES(Will say and start with Gundam vs. Zeta then Fed vs. Zeon. Detailed changes are listed below as #(number)+(plus sign)) -In Arcade and Campaign mode, “Character” voices1+: In Gundam vs Zeta, “Character” voices are always enabled, even if two human players play or if enemy “Character” spawns. In Fed vs. Zeon, voices were disabled unless you played solo (only in Arcade as a “Character”, in Campaign, you were a 3rd party pilot who is in the war and can only hear “Character” voices during the battle, your pilot does not talk at all)2+: This is only in Gundam vs. Zeta, ALL “Character”s have the same 3 special ability you pick during the loading screen for the mission (only can choose one and activates manually in battle once the yellow bar is fully charged/flashing) -Campaign Mode1+: In Gundam vs. Zeta, Play a “Character” to unlock another “Character” story, actions made during the game can change story. You could also customize the mobile suits to make it a bit easier in missions. In Fed vs. Zeon, you are a 3rd party pilot during “The One Year War” throughout the whole game. Choices you make earn you different mobile suits.2+.
One of the things I liked about this game was that there were multiple timelines for many of the characters (including some interesting "secret" ones) based upon how certain key events from the featured Gundam series played out.
This game is completely similar to its previous game, “Federation vs Zeon.” You choose either arcade or campaign mode and you play as either the AEUG or the TITANS. The story as always, is very limited when you play arcade, so you may have to play and beat campaign mode, which takes forever as usual. But the main point of the game is to have fun, even though it maybe a lot like the previous game. The addition to the game is its extra features gallery and new Ms’s to pilot from the Zeta Gundam series.
