Eine Sache vorweg: Wäre dieses Spiel nicht Teil der Sammlung eines Bekannten gewesen, hätte ich es wahrscheinlich nie kennen gelernt. Wenn es um Power Rangers geht, bin ich nämlich alles andere als gut bewandert oder interessiert. Natürlich kenne ich knappe Grundrisse der Handlung, aber das war es dann auch schon. Ansonsten beschränkt sich mein Wissen auf diesem Gebiet ausschließlich auf zwei Nintendo-Spiele. In dieser Hinsicht sind alte Spiele durchaus von Vorteil, da sowohl sie als auch ihre Konsumenten damals wesentlich genügsamer gewesen sind. Die Story wurde fast immer in weniger als einer Minute erklärt und die Auswahloptionen waren mehr als bescheiden. Gut, aus der heutigen Sicht kann man das leicht sagen – zur damaligen Zeit waren Spiele dieser Art natürlich auf dem bestmöglichen Stand. Aber für Spieler wie mich, die sich mit der Story nicht identifizieren können, sondern einfach nur Spaß an einem Spiel haben wollen, war dieser Umstand bei "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" ein sehr großer Vorteil.Die Story des Spiels orientiert sich an der dazugehörigen Serie. Es geht darum, Rita Repulsas Handlanger und Monster zu besiegen. Hierzu muss man sich durch insgesamt sieben Level kämpfen, wobei erwähnt werden sollte, dass die beiden letzten Kämpfe mit dem Megazord absolviert werden müssen. Die restlichen fünf Level haben allesamt ihre ganz individuellen Kontrahenten und Endgegner. Diese stammen aus unterschiedlichen Episoden der TV-Serie.- 1. Level: Stadt (Boss: Bones)-.

I was kinda bumed out that there is no 2 player mode & that the game cartridge itself didnt come with the original cover it displayed on the picture (I looked forward to it might I say.) Being a fan of the original show I instantly felt like a kid when I heard the theme song in the beginning. It’s easy to play & the graphics are pretty awesome. I bought it for my baby brother to play & he loves it!!
