Madden has done it again! I have had every madden since 96′ for my genisis a long time ago. Madden has made so many improvements in 2004 that its scary. Playmaker Control is great. I love how you can control 2 players at once and move blocks to open up a big whole to run through. By far, Madden has ESPN in gameplay. Franchise Mode is same as always, but I do like the switch of the draft and FA signing period so you cant cheat and sign a big FA then trade him to the Bengals for a #1 pick in the draft. Also, trading players in franchise I give an A+. The new grades of players worth to the team is genius. A few loopholes did arise like my personal favorite by signing Steve Martin in the FA list to a big contract with no bonus, then trading him to the Patriots for Rosevelt Colvin is a good trick if you need a LOLB. Otherwise, the trade system works to perfection. (TIP! James Williams in the FA list is worth a C to the Steelers! Take advantage of this and trade him and a #1 draft pick for Joey Porter or Kendrell Bell or Jason Gildon, all A+ players in my mind but only worth a B+ to the Steelers) Only a few negatives I saw, not big ones though. Madden needs to work on the new training camp a little. I was naturally really good at the training camp for some reason and if you spend the time to improve the maximum for all your guys (which is 7 skill points) you can improve your team I think too much than it should allow you. I had Todd Pinkston on my team and he improve.
Game was basically brand new. Even better than described. Solid pick-up
Madden is the best football game to ever hit video game systems. Some say that its not realistic enough, well you can change the difficulty! hello! madden has better graphics, more real play calling, more player details, and tons of other crap for you to sit on your lazy a$$ and explore. Madden 2004 has it all.
THIS game is aa total score michael Vick runs the ball in the endzone everyone loves a good game of hit and run ironman football and i am no different I love this game and so do my wife’s boyfriend’s kids.yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
This is a great game with few flaws. The graphics are superb, and the Franchise mode has a lot of depth. One new addition is the Owner’s Box, which lets you set ticket prices and manage your stadium. This is a lot of fun. The learning curve on this game is about 20 minutes. It’s very easy to figure out if you’ve never played it before.I only have two complaints about this title.1) The Skill levels, and 2) John Madden.First, the skill levels could use a bit of work. I consider myself to be an OK player at this game, but the skill levels Rookie and Pro seem to have too much of a difference between them. Usually, If I play on Rookie, I will win games 50-0 on average. But if I put it on pro, I lose all games 10-20 average and can’t win once. I don’t think I stink at this game, that’s not the problem. It’s just that the skill levels seem to have a big leap between eachother.2) John Madden.I really don’t need to explain why. After hearing 30 minutes worth of his commentary, you’ll know why. He’s simply annoying and says the dumbest things. :) Luckily you can turn off commentary. This game is great. I’d give it a 9 out of 10. Another great game to look for is EA’s NCAA Football 2004. I give this one 10 out of 10 simply because the skill levels are better, the commentary is Madden-less, and you can run option plays.
The last two Madden Games have been really good; however, i just never could get into it like NCAA 2004. This year is different. The owner mode is awesome. I love that you can move a team, change their logo, and everything. The little things in the game are cool as well. You can make the whole NFL wear throwbacks. The gameplay just runs smoother this year than the years past–i am not sure what it is but it just runs better. Overall Madden has found gained a little more time in my Playstation this football season.
yo this game is mad nice. i already finished a season in owner mode and i got the game the 14th. plus i went away on that weekend. this is a must for football gamers
This is the best football game I have played. IT ROCKS!!!!!!! You can make your own team and players, play online, and thier iseven a soundtrack! (A really, really good soundtrack) You can be anyone in the NFL and set up your own franchise(If you beat it your team or the NFL team you were playing goes to th super-bowl!). This also gives you previews to all the other stuff EA sports is doing. Another foot-ball game I would like to try is NCAA Football.
This is a great game buutt the owner mode feature which sounds great isnt as great as I had hoped. You can create a team and everything but then you cant use your created team in owner mode. Other than that this game is great…same graphics as last years. The music is good too with acts like Blink 182, Thrice, and Yellowcard. This game is a definate pick up.
I went easports.com, and this game looks great. The ownership mode is the bomb. Not to mention the screenshots were awesome!!.(Everything else was already great). This game will not be a disapointment to all previous madden game fans.
