I purchased this as a birthday gift for my 8-year-old grandson. This was at the top of his request list. It was a lot of fun watching the enjoyment he got out of playing this game. Based on his response, I would recommend this game for kids that are into playing video games.

LittleBigPlanet Game of the Year Edition is an entertaining and absorbing game. It allows a great level of customization of both character and eventually world. The game has an entertaining and decent length main story. Should that get finished, it also has a gargantuan online community. The variety there is nearly limitless, enabling player interaction and showcasing “published” works by other players. If you are interested in a game full of variety, good (not frustrating) puzzles, and great online support, this is your game.
I never got into the LittleBigPlanet series when it first came out. Now that the new systems are out and the older system games are cheaper, I decided to give this series a shot. I wasn’t sure which of the LittleBigPlanet games either 1 or 2 to start with. I had heard that the second one was better, but I figured I’d start with the first. The game is really fun to play and I like how that its different than alot of other games. I like how you can be creative in the game, although thats not something thats too important to me. I know a lot of people like games like that. The only thing thats a drawback, if you can even consider it a drawback, is that its way more fun to play with a second person. Otherwise, I’d recommend everyone to try this game. For all the things that you get for the cheap price, this is a must buy.
It reminds me so much of the thrill that I got as a kid from Mario Bros., but with this game everything that you wished you could do with Mario Bros. you can do with LBP.

Why did I not notice this before! Thanks retrolio. Just as good as the original and the graphics are phenomenal. In app purchases are fine and reasonable, have not yet had to buy anything. It is crazy the creator is giving the download away for free, it is definitely worth money.Only down side is it won’t connect to Facebook but that is alright, I am sure the bugs will be worked out in time. Definitely recommend, this game is very fun!
I purchased this item because of its popularity, and the fact that it seemed like a free-play game. I bought it for my 4 yr. old because I figured he’d like just running around collecting things. I didn’t realize there would be missions, and some really difficult levels. My son doesn’t like it as much as I’d hoped, but I don’t regret buying it at all!I was pleasantly surprised to fall in love with it myself! I’m a 37 year old woman, so for me to love a game is RARE. Everything is purchased with my son in mind. But Sack Boy is so cute, and I love dressing him up. And some of the missions are so difficult I find myself playing them for hours on end, and even getting stuck on some. I love that I can take my time and enjoy the scenery in some areas, and that I have pressure in others. It’s a very creative game – the only thing of its kind out there.Little Big Planet has turned out to be my favorite game of all time.
