Free from his imprisonment, the Dark Master unleashes his wrath upon the world, determined to bring forth a new age of darkness. As evil spreads over the world like a plague, Spyro must discover abilities beyond that of the elements and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him if he is to stop the Dark Master and fulfill his destiny. The game introduces two never before seen elements into the Spyro universe: Spyro can now fly at any time and players can drop-in/drop-out with the new cooperative feature. The co-op feature allows players to have the option of completing the game as either Spyro or Cynder, giving them more freedom to explore Spyro’s world in completely new ways.

Definitely what I expected this game really bought back memories for glad I got it
Got it right away. purchased it for my son and he enjoys it very much
im not sure why so much people rate these games so poorly i have had all three of the legend of spyro games and love them all (favoring dawn of the dragon ) the animation is good and the voice acting is wonderful and the gameplay i have always loved i guess if you have owned all the spyro games on the ps1 then you may not like this game i my self have only had 1 of the classic spyro games and did not like it so if you want to buy this game and are fan of the spyro series then you may not like this but if you have never played any of the old classic spyro games then give it a shotbut i can see why spyro fans rate this so low is like me and that skylanders game i think it looks like trash but classic fans may think different well we all have our own opinion .
I have always been a Spyro fan since I was younger. With being 23 I miss the old games and even bought them on the PS3 and played them recently. The co-op part is awesome, still playing it and it is different but enjoyable!
The game is pretty good. I got it as a Christmas gift for someone. I played it a couple of times and I would say the graphics are it’s biggest strong point. The voice acting is done extremely well and the game control is pretty easy to learn. The one grip I have is the story is too short.
I’ve only played the game for like an hour since I bought it, but so far it’s fun. The camera angles can be a little bit weird, and the challenge enemies are really tough to beat. It can also be kind of tough switching between Cynder and Spyro. I’m just not very good at video games in general, though. Beautiful scenery! I basically bought the game so I could be a dragon and run around in the tall grass, and so far, I’m completely satisfied with that. Was it worth like $60? Probably not, but I grew up playing Spyro, so it has a special place in my heart. Also, I’ve read complaints about the invisible walls, but all the Spyros I’ve played have had invisible walls. The ones in this game aren’t bothersome to me. There is plenty of room to run (and fly) around and explore. I bought used and received my game in great condition, so I’d recommend the shop (WorthierCourier), too. Thanks.
My son loves this series. It is vastly superior to the previous release, being more intense and heavy in graphics. The story line is a bit more complex, as well.
Overall this game, as well as with the rest of the TLOS series, is one hell of a good gaming series! I am a 22 – 23 hard core M-rated gamer all the way, the only games below M I even bothered to play are the Need For Speed games. Anything else, forget it. But one day I wanted to try a new series, something I haven’t even played or looked at before, since I love dragons I naturally sought out a series that had dragons in it somewhere and a friend told me of the Spyro games. Since most game places stopped selling the old school PS 1 titles, I had to wonder if any Spyro games came out on the PS 2, I left with A Heroes Tail, Enter the Dragonfly, TOLS ANB and TEN – walked over to the local Play N’ Trade and found the elusive DotD title, so now I had all three. Got home, put ANB into my PS 2 and naturally being a hard core M-rated gamer, I was expecting the game to be cheesy, mickey mouse BS. W-R-O-N-G! First of all, the storyline blew me away, second, the humor had me bawling at times and the gameplay its self was impressive. I recently started playing DotD and like most have said, it is a very hard game now…the parts where you have to carry this heavy azz thing in the start and make the jump perfect in my mind is a kill point for me. It irritates the hell out of me, then they reuse the same thing when you go to destroy the dam! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?! The highest sell point for me was the free flight and character swap. Yes, you can play as Cynder even in one player mode. I act.
Probably my favorite out of the tlos series. The one part that I love about it is you can actually FLY. No more gliding ledge from ledge, you can actually make spyro change altitudes and fly all around the place. I love it to pieces, but if I was to have to say anything off about it, that would be the fact that it feels like im playing god of war, only dimmed down to suit a lower age of gamers. Putting that aside however, it is still a great game! Be sure to play the 2 series before or you’ll loose the story fast!
My daughter will not stop playing it. Very good graphics.I wonder if there’s a follow up for ps3. If someone has it please let me know
