This game is similar to nes version but it’s very good game and the levels are very nice and the boss is the challenge.
5 years after Pit destroyed the evil Medusa in the 1986 NES installment, the Goddess Palutena had a horrible nightmare about Orcos the devil gargoyle and his henchmen coming to take over Angel Land. So now she has summoned Pit once more into the fray to undergo some immense training! :)The gameplay is very similar to the NES version: Pit will traverse through 4 worlds — the Underworld, the Overworld, the Sky World, and the Sky Palace. Each world is divided into 3 levels and 1 dungeon each. Starting in the vertical Underworld, Pit will need to use his arrows to dispatch a brand new wave of foes while exploring each open door. Inside every door is a variety of chambers:Information Chamber: Pit will gain valuable and/or secret information about how to progress through the levels.Bat Chamber: Pit will be faced against an army of bats.Hot Springs Chamber: Pit’s energy bars will be completely refilled.Treasure Chamber: Pit can fire at each treasure bag to reveal Hearts or Hammers, but watch out for the God of Poverty; he’ll make the remaining treasure disappear! :(Shopkeeper’s Chamber: Pit can purchase the Water/Chalice of Life, Hammers, or Keys from the Shopkeeper. Within the dungeon levels, Pit can also buy the Pencil and Torch.Black Market Chamber: The Marketeer will sell pricey items such as the Water Barrel. You can press left, down, A and B to haggle the price, but beware — the marketeer might actually RAISE the prices! :( However, you can use the Credit Ca.
This is an excellent iteration of the Kid Icarus series, perfectly capturing the gameplay of the original Kid Icarus for the Nintendo Entertainment System, with some welcome tweaks to gameplay that make it an even more excellent title. It is a little easier than the original, because of intelligent features like being able to move backward and forward in a level. In the climbing levels it is nice to not die just because the screen moved above a platform. I was really enjoying this game full of hearty joy, but then when I got to the fourth level my save game was lost. That is what you’ll want to check for as a buyer. The save game feature worked great for me for quite a while, probably a week of consistent gaming. Then I must have done something wrong when I was saving, because when I turned the game on, it wouldn’t allow me to access the continue option. Unfortunately, prior to listing this review I haven’t gotten to the bottom of this problem, but I just want to offer this advice. Play this game as soon as you get it. If there is a saved game, good, that is a good sign, but then you should also play this game until you can save it at the end of the first level. Save, then shut it down, turn it back on, and then see if your game is saved. If so congratulations, you have purchased a good copy. If not, then the shop has sold you a flawed copy, unless they specifically stated that the save feature doesn’t work, then you’ll want to see if the shop will issue a refund..
I bought this game in the summer of 2006 after my hopes were dashed when Nintendo failed to announce the development of a rumored Kid Icarus Wii game. Taken in the context of what it is, a game for the old pea-soup GameBoy, this game was surprisingly well done. The game, gameplay, and graphics are very similar to the original NES game only better. First of all, you’ll never fall to your death in vertically oriented stages because they can now scroll both up and down. Horizontal stages can also scroll in both directions while the NES original was locked into scrolling to the right. Pit is easier to control because he’s larger in relation to the screen and now has the ability to “float” down with his tiny wings in a move similar to the Raccoon tail in Super Mario Bros. 3.If you remember the final stage of the NES version I’ll just say that this game’s equivalent stage is designed in the same spirit, but fits the context of the other stages much better. The final NES stage was just too far out there. This game tones it down a notch and it just seems to fit.
i love kid icarus, but this game is super hard. especiallly the first boss. it took me 1 hour to beat him. but the game is fun. however, ill never pass it. :(
If you ever had frequent reoccurring dreams of flying from danger, this is the game for you. Icarus(Kid Icarus) can never truely set sail into the air but he sure tries to. Your power of flight is in the timing of the jumps and the “floating” time in the air before plummeting to your doom. This improved verson over NES(I never played NES version) is fun and the only thing that gets tired is your thumbs. I actually bought it new on release date in 1992 or something from Software Ect. After much frunstration and frequent deaths, I got the groove of the timing and shooting. It has a catchy (nintendo style) Muzak tune and great cartoon-like drawings of greek structures and characters. (monstrocities much like “Rygar”) Get it for fun and put your brain in neutrol and your reflexes to tango mode!
This was a gift for a friend. It was something he wanted to fill his collection. He enjoyed it very much.
Ein Spiel aus meiner Kindheit was ich einfach mal nostalgisch zocken wollte…Ich finde es zum Zeitvertreib super und es funktioniert noch immer^^
The game is fun, just a bit repetitive. The shops however managed to deliver very fastly, I am very happy with them.
