I received this game as a gift and it includes: Connect Four, Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Sorry! and Sorry! Sliders. The games are played in the same manner as the boardgames, but in an animated environment with Mr. Potato Head as your host. It also comes with in-game specific twists and variations.I am rating the game 4 stars, as the only games that I enjoy playing are Connect Four and Battleship. Sorry! is ok, but having additional players makes it better. With Battleship, the sound effects and explosions are what make this game standout from the others on this disc. You can even increase the difficulty of the game by adding in decoys, different weapons (Missles, Heavy Bombs, Lucky Hit – sinks ship if hit). With Connect Four, you have the original style, but can also play with special chips, that can do all kinds of things: Chips that knock the bottom one out, blow-up other chips, chips that keep others from placing their chip on top, etc…The other games are not my favorites, in real life or in this version. I would not be doing this game any favors by writing a review on those. You can win various items that are specific to each of the included games, and they are then displayed in your own room. I have looked at this area, but was not impressed enough that I would want it in a future version. The game gets the 4 stars, because the two or three games that I play often are so much fun and keep me playing for hours, with or without additional players. The other games and.
So fun!! Love all these games.
well my favorite games are battleship and connect four but it makes it easy for anyone to cheat because it says look away but there are never any guarantees everyone is honest, it is still fun to play. sorry sliders was hard to for me to understand at first I still don’t even understand it but it doesn’t mean i won’t play it. i personally prefer family game night 3 on the ps3.
Great game
Just got this for Christmas 2010. LOVE IT!!!!!!The GOOD – Games are FUN and have SEVERAL variations for each game. You can even customize (create your own version) the games if you like.Battleship – I had never played Battleship before and my husband kept pushing me to try it. Now I keep bugging him to play again and again (YES, I did sink his battleship!). Fun game – Salvo game option makes game “move” a bit quicker.Yahtzee – GREAT for Yahtzee fans! Many variations to play! LOVE IT!Boggle – One of my favorite games and fun to play it here. Word List & other game play options are a nice addition.Connect 4 – Well, not a great “board” game to begin with (dull) and not much more excitement here. But the younger kids like it.Sorry! – Sorry! Haven’t gotten to this game yet, still enjoying the others.Sliders – Another fun game. Kind of like shuffle-board. And NO! Shuffle-board isn’t just for “old people”. ;-)Mr. Potato Head, as MC, is cute as he cheers you on as you play or is sad when you don’t do well. (I’m sure there will be those who do NOT like him.)Ability to play (alone) against AI opponents is GREAT! I was up until the wee-hours one night enjoying that feature! The BAD – Moving around in the game can be tedious. If little Billy doesn’t want to play a game anymore and others do, you have to go to the main menu and start all over again, loading players etc.(at least I haven’t found an easier way to do it. See more on this below in The UGLY.)Boggle can be confusing when many pe.
This game is fun for the whole family. It takes a little while to master the remote with the word and number games – we often hit a wrong letter on the game board with Boggle or a wrong button on the remote and rolled the dice again instead of saving our score in Yahtzee, but with a little practice it becomes easier. My six year old had a little trouble with Yahtzee and Boggle – he’s not quite old enough to understand the word and number games but loved the other ones. I would definately recommend this game.
This was a gift for my nephews (6 and 8 yrs old). The whole family loves it. They say it’s a lot of fun and highly recommend it.
Fun for the whole family with games that everyone will enjoy. I bought this one for my homeschooled 9yo son who loves battleship but doesn’t always have someone to play against. It’s perfect for him to play battleship against the computer while I help my 4yo daughter with her schooling. As a family, our favorite has to be Sorry Sliders! So much fun :)
I purchased this game for my niece and youngest nephew (they’re around four and six)… They enjoyed it even more than I expected and I love it as well!
Hasbro’s family game night is a fun twist on well loved board games and you don’t have any pieces to lose! Our favorite games were definately Battleship and Boggle and with an age range between 9 – 53 years in our household it was enjoyed by everyone. My husband and youngest daughter loved battleship and found the variations to the regular game a lot more fun.The controls are easy to use for children and not complicated in any way. Boggle can get a little confusing when you have 4 people all trying to highlight letters but I think that added to the fun of it all.Connect Four was a little boring, but it’s not really a game I like to play much off the wii.We couldn’t figure out Sorry, but we were having so much fun with Boggle and Battleship we didn’t really care and I’m sure if we bothered to read the booklet that came with the game we’d figure it out quickly enough.Overall I’d give the game a 9 out of 10 simply for Battleship and Boggle.
