I will confess, there are a number of corny lines in this final volume, but the journey, characters, and awesome fights are well worth it. While not absolutely every question is answered (both standard .Hack procedure and good storytelling), the important threads are all wrapped up. All of the characters have a good amount of growth and new fans to the series will almost certainly be surprised by the final boss, fans since the quadrilogy will probably shout “hey, that’s where it is!”Story: 8/10Following Volume 2, there’s more artwork to unlock, and besides episode 6 of Roots (no, I don’t know why they jumped from 1 in Vol 2, to 6 in Vol 3) there are “joke videos” called “4koma”s.Graphics: 8/10While still excellent in its own right, I don’t think there’s a single new sound (outside dialog, obviously) from Vol 2 to 3. Some fans will also joke that certain effects are overused – a number of enemies’ death growls sound like cows, a source of comic relief for myself and my friends.Sound: 7/10The last volume, and it does not disappoint. Chikayo Fukuda remains strong the whole way through, and whatever your favorite is it probably makes some appropriate appearance (from “Everything in These Hands” in the showdown with the Azure Knights) to an epic-sounding track prior to the showdown with the story’s Final Boss.Music: 9/10While graphics and sound didn’t really change from one volume to the next, the expansions in skills, weapons, and other things smooth out tough spots in gameplay a.
This game was a bit of a disappointment for me. I was excited as all get-out to finally get my paws on it but it really was lacking compared to the prior two games. The story felt forced. I know every good thing has to end, but it felt like they were beating a dead horse with the second half of the game. The endgame felt horribly tacked on, needless and trite. The game itself is still fun to play and this game is especially challenging after the prior two. Unfortunately, this involves more level grinding to get past how challenging it is and the scale of monster difficulty vs. experience is horribly off-kilter. Monsters that take ten minutes to kill give you a measly bit of experience which really detracts from how fun the game is.There are plenty of plot twists to keep the game interesting if you’ve managed to avoid internet spoilers, but it barely balances out against how tedious the game is.If you’ve played the first two, you already know how beautiful the graphics are and how unbelievably great the music is. If you loved the prior, you’ll probably love this game. If you’re starting with this game first…you’re going to be more lost than a stupid guy at a Smart Convention. This really isn’t a trilogy where you can just hop in at the end and expect to know what’s going down.
This was a great game, and an amazing ending to the trilogy. I loved everything about the game, and I found this game to be the most challenging. It offered plenty of extra things to do in the game especially after the main storyline is finished.Graphics: The graphics were great and I experience no lag or bugs in the game. I wished that they might have updated the graphics, but that didn’t happen. Overall everything is looking good. 2/2.Story: The story was deeper this time around. New enemies and old enemies appear in this game. Their is also some old faces from the previous games I.M.O.Q series. I noticed the epiloque portion of the game was much harder this time. The forest of pain is extremely tough in later part of the dungeon. Good luck. 1.5/2.Characters: There is a lot more characters added to your party roster to play with. I am excited about the additions of some of the characters. A lot of the characters history is explored more, and the surprises about who is pulling some of the strings behind the scenes is interesting. 1.5/2.Sound: I believe the sound in the game made the game feel more exciting, but also more light hearted at times.. 2/2.Controls: The camera angles and handling of the controls work perfectly. The controls and handling of the bike races work well. Now the bike races are extremely fun this time around, and they definitely add a challenge this game. :). 2/2.Overall a great game to play. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for.
The item did meet my expectations. Played good.
This has to be one of the greatest series I’ve played, I love how the game is clean and came with almost everything, spare from the case, but that’s no big deal. It came on time, and in a condition I try to keep my own games in. It was perfect I would recommend others to get their games from this person/group.
So far it’s been a decent next game, using the same formulated kinds of history and events as it has in the past. I’ve been having trouble with the childishness of the main antagonist. Fairly nearly the same gameplay as the previous. A Few new neat features as there are in every game. the first couple of hours have been continued story line and Reintroduction into the world. so I haven’t gotten into the real meat of the story yet.
Really, really loved it!! Has a lot of potential and would really loved a remake of the game for the new consoles! Or a remastered collection, I’d definitely buy it :) Of course it has its problems but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
.hack//GU Vol. 3 is the last game in the second series of .hack games, meaning it has the conclusion to the much improved G.U. series contained within. While not necessary to have owned and played the last two in the series, you really should for the most enjoyment. The series continues with smooth graphics, and a nice cel-shaded style that doesn’t look cheaply done, not to mention the gameplay isn’t nearly as monotonous as the old series (don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the story of the older games… but they were boring to PLAY). You also get Haseo’s Xth form in this game, which adds new ways to play even now.I fully recommend this game to any fan of the .hack franchise, and to many of you who never got into it, but thought it looked interesting. Even some of you who’ve never heard it before. It really is one of my favorite game series, particularly within the selection of the PS2.
I very much think that this is the greatest game achievement in the rpg world yet, the dot hack GU series. It has a mix of everything a good game, book, movie, or anything needs. It has very many instances of suspense with who will become a lost one, who is the real tri-edge and Haseo dealing with who he is, which is of course Ovan. The twists are astounding, such as Ovan being Tri-Edge, and Sakaki becoming an AIDA idiot that gains control of CC corp despite him being 10 years old in real life. Also there is the romance, the love triangles that go on with Haseo, Alkaid, Shino, and Atoli, and perhaps more later in the game. They fight for him so much in a silent way, which is very funny (excluding Shino). Speaking of funny, the comedy is a key element in the game. From dancing grunties to Endrance’s supposed homosexuality towards Haseo, it gets very hilarious. Also the classic of Mecha Grunty always crashing. The action of course in the game is the main thing that attracts though, there are the new weapons, new levels, new moves, and intricate storyline that is very unexpected. Pretty much that sums it up, and it is the best rpg out in the world.
For a used game it met my expectations. Somewhat playable the audio is off but other than that the game is pretty good.
