Picked this up this morning, and I’m pretty impressed. I was a big fan of the last one, and this one has some nice improvements over the last one.Most notably, you can finally play two player on two different levels of difficulty. Being able to let a beginner strum out the basics while you play on expert is definitely the feature I wanted to see the most.This is a great game for parties, and the additional songs are all lots of fun. It was also a great choice to add Thunderhorse (Skwisgaar is a god).Good stuff. If you like this, check out the original guitar hero and taiko drum master. Both are also great.
The first one was better music “as made famous by” sounds like artists, guitar hero two gives the ability to jam with a friend and that is awsome……. great gift for anyone any age!!! From the kids, to the grandparents, we use it to break the ice at family gatherings, and everyone is entertained young and old……. We are so cool and feel like such rock stars, we just can’t help it!!!! The elders( not the grand parents) are now taking up real electric guitar lessons, yes, everyone really got into it…..
i never thought i would have this kind of reaction to a video game. when my mother brought this gsme home, i was a little apprehensive. when i sat down and started playing, i slowly became addicted. the songs that were chosen for this game are fast, up beat and very catchy. after i mastered the first level (easy) i moved my way up to medium. get good at easy before you make the transition to medium, because the harder level you play on, the more buttons you have to push. when you do make the transition into medium, you get money for the gigs after there completion and you can buy new characters, new songs, guitars, clothing, which makes the reason to get four stars instead of three a little more pressing (more stars and points = more money). this game overall is so much fun for the whole family. this game, i actually feel like its doing something for your cognitive development in regards to color, sound and hand coordination. you will definitely not be disappointed when you purchase this game. keep on rockin

Everyone I talk to agrees with me on this: the songs in Guitar Hero 2 just aren’t as good. There’s a ton of metal and such, so they’re not as fun for me and I don’t recognize them. It’s not a surprise, though, if you look at the bonus songs by bands of the game creators in Guitar Hero 1. I’m just saying that they better just be holding onto “Don’t fear the Reaper” for Guitar Hero 3. However, you get to play freebird.
its a great game and if you liked the first guitar hero, wow, your in for a suprise, with all new characters, outfits, venues, songs, and encores, i had a blast, didnt put it down for a week. and the great thing is, its not a game that u beat and thats it, ur done, unlike an adventure or shooting game u can keep playing it over and over! i love it

Are they freakin crazy????!!! for this old game. The game is great but do they really expect people to play that much for an old game on an old platform? If you are lookin for this game get it but get it somewhere else.
