I got this game because it was the closest game and a new edition of the Nintendo that was like burned out for PlayStation I love the crashing 4 points and prizes versus racing in skilled driving
Whenever I see a game listed for I normally think it is going to be lame. But as a huge fan of the Flatout series, I just had to try this, even though my expectations were low. Let me start out by saying Flatout has some of the best graphics I have seen on the wii. I was really quite impressed with this. There are 3 or 4 game modes, but I think most people will be sticking to the stunt mode and battle arena (I know I am!)The battle arena is essentially a huge destruction derby, and the stunt mode is this crazy mode where you shoot your driver out the windshield and try to get him to hit certain targets (like a large golf hole). Those who are familiar with other Flatout titles will appreciate the stunt modes in this game.I’m not a huge fan of wii wheel steering, and you don’t have the option to use just d-pad, but with that said, the game controls nicely.Overall, considering it is only bucks, I highly recommend this game. You will get some quality game time with it, and it has split player functionality, so you can play with a friend (which is always a lot of fun)
I purchased this game and the quality is amazing, especially for a Wii. The graphics are the best to be seen on a Nintendo Wii system, the physics are very cool to play with, and most of the gamemodes are worked out very nicely.Especially the two player stuntmode is hilarious, a must-try: I’ve let two of my (girl)friends play this mode, and while one was trying to steer slowly & carefully the other one steered way too much / started drifting and also the other direction and they never could get it right together: so much fun to see two girls try to control one car! (they are now forcing me to admit they broke my highscore in the level8, but that was sheer luck)Summary:+ Graphics, never seen it better in any other Wii game.+ Physics / gameplay. It feels ‘real’ and it’s fun.+ The stuntmode in 2 player mode!+ (The damage model of) the cars is very good. Never saw this one a Wii.+ Better music than previous FlatOut games which had crap music.+ Agressive bonus-reward system. Keep boosting / healting / performing the special move on and on.+ Only $19 instead of the $50 you pay for NFS: HP (which I also bought..)- There are only 3 locations with each 4 races in the ‘race’ mode.- The ‘car basher’ mode could have been polished a bit longer.- Some of the stunts are very difficult.Summary:First I inserted NFS: HP in my Wii, and after only 20 (frustrating) minutes I inserted FlatOut Wii. It has not left my Wii since. Thanks to retrolio that gave me the “this might be of your interest too”.
