Taking place two years after Yuna’s fateful journey to defeat Sin, the once chaotic world of Spira has gone through a massive transformation, entering a period of “Eternal Calm”. However, even with the peaceful life they now lived, there is emptiness in Yuna’s heart that is keeping her from moving on as the others have. One day, Yuna obtains a mystical sphere that contains imagery of what might be the Blitzball player she thought was gone forever. Although Yuna isn’t certain that it is him or if he is even alive, she’s driven to seek him out. Scattered all across the dangerous lands are spheres which show visual recordings of historical events or open up different types of job classes to use in battle.

I really loved this game. I know a lot of Final Fantasy fans didn’t approve of this game because it’s the first REAL sequel to a Final Fantasy game made by Square Enix, but I am overlooking that and looking at this game as it’s own installment in the series. And I think it stands up to its predecessors. This is a great game. Good story line, graphics, and music. I would recommend this game to anyone. Because I find it hard NOT to love it, from anyone’s Point Of View.
Its a pretty cool sequel to the first game, but comes no where near the quality of the first game. The different dresses the girls get to wear was a really cool idea, but the game bordered along the cheesy lines. They added pop music into the game where it does not belong. They even have Yuna singing some crap pop song in the middle of the game. And like other reviews have said, its way to difficult to get 100% completion. Especially for a game thats not the best anyway. I played through it the first time and when I got to the end of it I realized I only had 25% completed. If you don’t go a certain way and do certain things, you miss half the game. But how are you suppose to know to do those certain things unless you follow the guide page for page. I went through it the first time without a guide and ended up missing over half the game. Check out Final Fantasy X if you want a good game. That game blew my mind. After playing through the first game it will help make the second one a semi enjoyable experience…
Haven’t played it yet but it looks really fun.
I had so much fun with this game = ). I felt this game was unique in the Final Fantasy series and a bit more light hearted. The best part of this Final Fantasy game is that it is GIRLY! Its about time that series came out with something so clearly girly (because they have had a number of clearly boyish ones). You can dress your characters up in different outfits, even switch outfits during a battle, and put on fun accessories like chokers and pearl necklaces. You can even unlock really powerful hidden dress spheres. My favorite dress sphere is the trainer where I have a pet that does the attacks for me. The main characters are just wanting to have fun and collect spheres. They are worried about love, friendships, the past, and if others are doing well/are happy. Sure they end up being caught up in a larger issue, but for the most part its fun missions like passing out balloons, clearing villages of fiends, or digging treasure up in the desert. There are a lot of mini games throughout and if you do not like any of them you do not really need to do well at them. For example, you have to catch cactuars and its a shooting game, but a bit frustrating and ill-conceived game to me, so I use up my ammo and do not score too well, and no matter how poorly I do, the cactuar still comes with me and the story just moves on. Some mini games are just extras and not even required for the story to continue. This is a sequel to Final Fantasy X so it wraps up character story lines, but.
One of the first FF’s I’ve played (I know this is a sequel to FFX). It’s a lot of fun playing as Yuna now and it introducing much more in Spira than what you experienced with Tidus. While you may not have Aeons, you do have dresspheres! Think of them as the broaches Sailor Moon and the Sailor Senshi used to transform! Unfortunately, the US version didn’t have Psychic and Festivalist like in the HD Remaster which is a lot of fun it’s still a great game! I would play this for hours as a kid!Definitely recommend for those who’ve already played FFX and those who like the Magical Girl Genre! YRP for the win!
This is my Favorite FF of the series right after FFX. This sequel brings back so many memories, I literally cried with some of the things they did with the game. They made zanarkand… I can’t even say it, but it makes me angry. I love what they did with some of the characters and the storyline is also great, they could make the "paradigm shifts" a lot of easier and the battle phase should stayed the same as of FFX. Overall this is the best sequel to the best game ever. I give this game 5 stars on everything.
It takes an interesting idea and makes for a great game. I will admit that it has a rather "Charlies Angels" kind of feel, the dresssphere system is just another name for the classic Final Fantasy staple of the "Job System". The AP(Ability Point) system used to learn skills and abilities is poorly explained in the game and instruction booklet but makes sense once you figure it out.On the good side of things, they ditched the totally linear storyline idea for one that evolves with your choices(and YES it all leads to the same endings) this adds Re-playability as there are places where you must choose one path or the other(this starts in Chapter 2)On the down side the voice actress for Yuna seems to have learned NOTHING from her time voicing said character…
Love it! 10/10
Pretty fun game, but it does have a definite slant towards the female gamer population. Also, some of the mini-games can be pretty frustrating to complete.
was a gift and he loved it and works awesome and was in excellent condition
