New and Sealed, great game.
I orginally had played this on the demo disc for ps2 and LOVED it, although I could not remember the name for the life of me. But now that I actually got a chance to play it; it was a really good game, a decent play time for the hardcore gamer, although the down side was that once you get Arok, the game can get a bit confusing as to where to go. But it’s not impossible to figure out, overall I’d highly recomend this game, and it also can be paired with Baulder’s Gate, which is almost the same type of game, but either way; Great game and a great price too!
I had never heard of Drakan before E3 but I think it is one of the most underated games on the console. Playing the demo, which was similar to what I played at E3 reconfirmed how good this game really is. This is the best fantasy game for the PS2!This first thing that really impressed me were the controls. They are very tight. I really liked the fact that you could use pretty much the same controls on both Rynn and Arokh. The second is the skill system. You can tweak the skills which allow Rynn to access new powers. This is really cool as it adds an RPG element. The third thing that impressed me was the incredible environments. It was breath taking to be able to run around the ground then get on the dragon and see it from the sky. After exploring the outdoors for about an hour you can then go into a cave with out any loading…COOL.The fourth and best part is Arokh. Being able to fly a fire breathing dragon is just SO cool.I really hope this game gets the credit it deserves it is hand down one of the best games on the PS 2.GO OUT AND BUY IT!!!!
This game is addictive and incredibly fun. The dragon riding is a one of kind thing for video games and it’s awesome! There are several levels with side quests that keep you occupied for a long, enjoyable time. You choose from a variety of weapons and magic spells and cool things happen when you use them in battle against an array of assailants. I definately consider this a must have game if you own a PS2.
I have almost completed this game. I have enjoyed the game so very much that I feel inclined to write a review. If you like a good medieval genre RPG that takes you to many different lands while completing many different quests, you should be very happy with Drakan for PS2. The graphics are extremely rich and pleasing to the eyes. The designers went out of their way to add the little things like flowers and streams that add to the overall realistic environment. The sound effects and music are adequate enough as well. There is a large assortment of weapons and magic spells that can be acquired, for a price of course. I also like how you are able to save at any point in the game without having to find a specific save spot. The heroine of this RPG can certainly grow on you and her dragon Arokh, is fun to fly and fight with. The people that create these games amaze me. I hope they choose to continue Rynn’s adventures. If so, I will be sure to buy the game. I am sure to use Drakan as a benchmark for future RPG game selection.
Just browsing through some game titles, I noticed this one. I had never heard of it, but the reviews sounded pretty promising so I decided to get the game. The game started off with storybook pictures and a deep voice telling a tale as the pages flipped along(Refreshing since I haven’t seen that in a while). After several hours I decided that the reviewers hadn’t lied and that this was truly worth my buy.Rynn, your main character is bonded with a dragon of The Order of the Flame, Arohk. When you see and hear Rynn, you can’t help but think of a medieval Lara Croft(No complaints here). Together, and with enough practice on your part, the two make almost an invincible team that can fight off any enemy. On land, Rynn makes use of the sword(and many other hand weapons), the bow and magic. Each category of combat makes use of skill points which result from killing enemies. The combat is actually quite well done in this game. Weapon durability has been added in as well. Rynn can do several combos for more devastating damage when she’s on the offensive. You’re also able to lock onto your enemies. When she’s on the defensive, run, roll, back flip, parry and block with a shield are all skills that will save her life. With her magic, you’ll be able to incinerate, freeze, impale or terrify your enemies(There’s still more magic to be revealed and multiple spells can be used at once). With Arohk, you’ll battle other dragons with breathes of fire, ice, lightening, sound and darkn.
Drakan is a wonderful game. The balance in graphics of a number of dark, villian filled caves and flying in the beautiful, colorful countryside on the back of a dragon is so much fun. The final boss was difficult but not impossible. It’s a good idea to purchase the healthmeter spell as soon as possible so you don’t spend all of your money on health bottles and can upgrade your armor. The only improvement I would like to see in this game is the ability to refill the healthmeter without stopping and hiding out in the middle of a fight.
One of my all time fav games when i was a kid back when the ps2 first came out came brand new factory sealed perfect!
A true buried treasure of a game for those whose enjoy action RPG’s set in a medieval fantasy world. You play as a dragon rider named Rynn who has been given the task of opening teleporters to other worlds in order to awaken sleeping dragons of the Order of the Flame & the Mother Dragon. There’s a nice variety of weapons, armor, hidden areas, enemies, side quests & locations to visit on your journey. The game encourages & even requires you to explore its realm for treasure & secret places. There are cheat codes available if you need them, though most shouldn’t because it’s never too difficult & there’s plenty of gold to be found. On the other hand, you will find a few points that require trial & error, so save often. Another nice feature in Drakan is that the treasure you find is automatically converted to gold, so there’s no need to pawn it before shopping for upgrades. A PS2 memory card is required to play beyond the opening area, so make sure you have one. Yes, you ride & control a dragon named Arokh in this game as well as battle other dragons called Dark Wings. The only down side to this game is that the action ends somewhat abruptly after you open the last teleporter, but there’s an actual ending sequence that follows. Some reviews have called this game Morrowind for the PS2. I wouldn’t go that far, but I would call it the closest game to Morrowind on the PS2. As Drakan stands, even though it was released in 2002, it’s still one of the higher quality games on the PS2 &.
Perfect condition. Thanks
