Since purchasing this game over 6 months ago, 3 of my friends have also bought copies and this has turned into one of the best multiplayer experiences I’ve had for many years. This game is simply a blast to play.Culdcept SAGA is a unique game and a little difficult to describe. It is set up as a board game with ‘property’ that can be landed on and acquired. Just like monopoly, you can level up your territory and create chains to increase their value. You claim territory and challenge the claims of other players using a deck of cards. There are nearly 500 cards with a variety of effects – this makes deck combination’s almost infinite. Culdcept SAGA is surprisingly balanced considering the number of cards and variety of map types. There is no game quite like Culdcept SAGA and you owe it to yourself to check it out. Just be prepared for a new addiction.
I got a copy of Culdcept and can not put it down. The game is a mixture of board games and trading card games. I never really liked trading card games as a kid, but for some reason the concept really grows on me here. I have played about 4 hours so far, including some multiplayer. The game, simply put, rocks. It combines all the luck of rolling a die with the strategy of building a deck of cards. I am totally hooked. I hope the graphics would be better since its a 360 game, but for my $40, the game is worth every penny.
i play this game every day since i got it in 2008. please make a culdcept saga 2. it is the best. it is magic the gathering + monopoly.
Love tactical games and this one really puts a good twist into it with the cards and abilities. Huge fan of Magic the Gathering and will try all other cards games and when it involve a video games many are not very good but this one does it well.
Just as you have heard its exactly the like card game “magic”;Nevertheless its super fun, you may even become addicted. With Video games the word addicted isn’t bad, Apparently; It means the game must have something that can draw a person in and keep them interested. The most absorbing ,and intriguing parts for me were findinglocating all the cards,Messing around with my “decks”.At first you might be like huh?..Especially if you’ve never Played the real “Magic card game”.I say give it time;Either way, fulfillment is what you’ll get.Their is more then enough helpful information. Every question you may have is answered and explained right in the help menu supplied on the disk. Its one of those games you get a pen an paper for,To remind yourself of the little things.Like what character gave you the most green cards,Spell cards, etc. I found myself jotting down the best spells and creatures, What map/land was easiest/hardest. Also what deck helped me to gather what i seek. You get to create a bunch of decks,Packing them up with whatever you wish. From neutral, earth, water,Air,Fire,items,Tool- s,Armor,scrolls,Spells(single-target)(Multi- target)cards.Changing book covers and naming them keeps everything in order. Also it keeps records & stats of how you did on each map.You unlock new clothes such as hats, weapons, capes, etc; As you play more and more an defeat different Characters.Who you also get to play as after defeating them. You may re fight them again and again to unlock more thing.
I’ll keep this short and simple. Good strategy, but not very much like Magic. The creatures die fast in this game, unless you have plenty of item cards to make them stronger. Or their HP gets low and you have to switch them out for a different creature in your hand, so you can keep the property you upgraded. When the other player lands on that property, they have a choice to fight that creature or just pay you. Can get very tedious going around the board tons of times, especially when some of the boards are ridiculous. Not much strategy, more of game that makes you do the same things every battle. Still fun, but no Yugi-oh duelist of the roses. And even if you lose, you still get 5 cards every time. Cards have awesome artwork, and alot of them are pretty cool, with some good abilities. Alot of them are abilities not worth using though, because they take too long. Some are very cool though. Overall, not like Magic in the strategy department, but it’s xbox. You can’t expect to much of that anymore.
A great game if you get a little high first!
A great game if you get a little high first!
One of the greatest games ever created and the first reason to own a 360. If you’ve played the PS2 version then you know what to expect. A deep card battle system that takes place on a game board. You can have 50 cards in your deck which would include creature, items and spells. So far Culdcept Saga has started out a little easier than the one on PS2. It also has a deeper story mode with some nice cut scenes. The graphics received an upgrade but there’s still no creature battle animation besides the usual claw, axe or sword. You can easily spend hours playing and maintaining your book of cards. There’s single, multi-player and online modes so it’s a great party game. Some people will play it and not give it a chance, you have to stick with it. Everyone should buy this game (or two) so they make more of them, otherwise this may be the only one for current systems.
I bought this game used at Gamestop for 10 dollars 2 years ago why has the price dramatically gone up for this game?
