The evil Neo Cortex has turned the creatures of Crash’s island into horrific mutations! Using Crash’s legendary mix of outrageous antics and daredevil bravado, players “hijack” enemies to take control of their action and use their fearsome powers against all manner of enemies. Players can wall-run, swing from ropes and flip off springboards – Crash can even toss Aku Aku on the ground to surf, skate, grind and shred. At any point in the game, a second player can join in the fun and play as Carbon-Crash to help unleash total chaos.

Kingoms of Amalur Reckoning is a 3rd person RPG that combines fighting hordes of minions, epic boss fights, tons of loot, and a blacksmithing / gem-crafting / alchemy system into gorgeous world filled with bright colors and spectacular detail. The result is fairly deep and customized experience that is a lot of fun to play. While there are 3 basic classes to play (rogue, warrior, sorcery) skills can be selected in any of the the classes to create your own customized character designed around how you like to play the game. This customization fits well into the meta-narrative of the game. The game begins with you resurrected through a Gnome’s machine, and hence unbound by fate/destiny. Your lack of a predetermined fate allows you to alter the fate of the world.I picked up the game because I had read that RA Salvatore had written the story/history for Amalur and Todd McFarlane had designed the art. On both counts, Amalur shines in a unique brilliant way (like the many gem shards you’ll collect and craft). The story is a world ravaged by war. The lorestones throughout the world and coversations with NPC give the player the sense that Amalur is alive and has existed for a long time. The artwork is fantastic. The world is colorful. Even the dungeons often have bright eerily glowing plants in them. I loved the detail that some of the plants bloom in the presence of magic, so as you walk into a room the floors and walls sometimes come alive. The looting system is quite addicti.
Arrived still factory sealed it seems.Perfect condition. Works great. Exceeded my expectation.Fun game If Skyrim and Fable had a baby itd be KOA ReckoningArrived quickly. As shown.Glad I bought this.
I’ve played this game before. It was pretty cool and I was definitely hooked. Graphics and scenery are mad gorgeous. Characters and plot are entertaining. There’s a lot to do. More of a warm up/ introductory. I’ll probably play during pass times. Shipping and delivery were adequate.
I waited to write the review for this one to make sure the new wore off. This is truly a great game but it get quite repetitive in the game play however when you take everything you love in the Fable series and cross that with the good from Elder Scrolls then you throw names in development like R.A. Salvator and Todd McFarlene you have to just sit back in aww and wonder at the terrific story and the possibilities that really make you remember some of those days rolling the dice. I suggest this game to anyone into the fantasy genre of games and those who are avid Table Top RPG players. Enjoy!
Normally I’d rate a game like this 3 stars for feeling a bit restrained (compared to something truly "open world" like Skyrim), but it kept me hooked despite my initial dismay at the hard edges of the world map and non-dungeon zones. The crafting system is easily exploited, but still a lot of fun. It’s a lot more engaging and beautiful than the videos online make it seem, because you end up needing to focus on more than just one element of gameplay at a time. Even given my griping about the world size, my biggest complaint (crafting exploits aside) is that regardless of whether I waded in and smashed things or sneaked up for a quick kill, I didn’t find it challenging enough. All in all, a solidly "good" game and worth having on your shelf.
I loved this game. After Skyrim got boring, this game was a nice change. I like an open world RPG, this is a bit more linear than Skyrim. The combat is so much better though. Not hack and slash. The characters and scenery is so bright and vivid, some of the monsters even frightened me when they surprised me. The sound effects and music are not bad, but sometimes the sync is off.
Just wanted to add my 2 cents. This is an awesome open world RPG that never got the recognition it deserved, as the developer closed down shortly after it was released. Like a really fun mashup of colorful Fable style and combat and Skyrim open world. There are bugs that were never addressed as the devs were shut down so suddenly (do not take on too many quests, only those you are immediately pursuing–that’s the biggest tip I can give for avoiding a major issue). And the combat is a bit on the easy side on normal. But overall this game has a lot of personality and is just plain fun.I only wish the source code was released and maybe someone could do an unofficial patch or mods for PC at least. I somehow doubt an HD remaster for current consoles will ever happen–but I’d get it in an instant. As to the DLC: I’d say only buy if you really want more Amalur. The 2 major DLCs are new lands/quests that are well done, but completely separate from the main story–and doing those quests before you complete the main game can greatly overpower your character.
This is a wonderful game. It is a shame the developer went out of business as it is a great first showing from them. The design was headed by the man who made Morrowind and Oblivion, Ken Rolston. It was art directed by Todd McFarlane and written by R.A. Salvatore. What stands out more than anything are two features, combat and skill trees. Combat is absolutely FUN. It doesn’t matter what skill you use from hammers to magic, daggers to chakrams, the combat is a blast. It isn’t the hardest combat, but it "feels" powerful and this game also has THE BEST kill moves of any game I have ever seen. The skill trees are the other standout. One can make whichever class they want or any combo in-between and the skill system still rewards it. This game was made to try out many different things or go deep. It doesn’t matter. Do what YOU want. I have never seen a game so reward trying new things. In the end, I love it. I have played it through twice on the PC version. Both times it was a fun time.Negatives are few, but the sheer number of side quests can be daunting and time consuming. If you insist upon doing "everything" the game will take a long time (over 200 hours easy) and the quests can get boring, but … I suppose that would be true in real life as well. There are quests now and again that are quite amazing and fun too so it’s not all bad. If one skips a few side quests I can see where excitement would be kept up much better. Also, the game tends to be stable on both PC.
This game is awesome! If I were to compare the combat system to another game’s combat system, I’d say it most closely resembles The Force Unleashed’s combat style (of course, that’s just my opinion). The spells are super cool such as stacking fire on your enemies and then exploding it and killing all of them at once. The world is absolutely beautiful. I’d say it feels a bit more “refreshing” than the landscape in Skyrim without mods. The only problem I have with the game is that it isn’t as open world as I thought it would be. For example, you can’t jump whenever you want to and you can’t go anywhere you want to either. For example, if you saw a beautiful stream of water with fish and lily pads in it and you wanted to dive into it, you wouldn’t be able to except at a specific location (if there was no spot to jump from then you wouldn’t be able to jump into the stream). However, in Skyrim you could jump off a mountain and land in a river if you wanted to (or jump whenever you want to!)! Also, there are just certain areas that you cannot step into at all which makes the game feel kind of linear, but still the world is pretty big.
Kingdoms of Amalur is going to feel very familiar to Fable fans, but it’s better than Fable on the gameplay and depth front. Essentially, it’s what Fable should have been. The combat is solid and intense, and the fact that you can build your character along three main paths (or any combination of the three): Strength (warrior), Magic (mage), and Finesse (think assassin or rogue), and you have a recipe for deep combat. The game’s lore is in depth as well, and is chock full of quests to complete. Character customization is easy, perhaps a bit shallow for players coming from the MMORPG genre, but good nonetheless. Menu navigation is simple and organized, and the availablility of tools for your character to use runs like a typical RPG (which is a good thing). It’s no Skyrim, but it’s a fun 3rd-Person RPG that Fable fans will find very gun. If you’re not a Fable fan however, perhaps you should do a little more research before a purchase.
