Too much fun!
First off, I don’t know who ever thought that it’s so funny you’ll be rolling on the floor laughing, but maybe I’m not easily amused enough. It’s a fun game, but I wouldn’t call it really funny. To me, it’s basically a souped-up version of the old Duck Hunt game. Which is basically what I was expecting, so that’s ok. I did kind of expect more story to it, but I don’t mind that there isn’t a bunch of narration. They introduce to you different kinds of rebel chickens–there are the regular ones, then there are more difficult chickens like secret agent chickens and viking chickens and robochickens. The levels are ok. They can be tough when you’re playing by yourself, but it hasn’t taken my husband long to move through them when you only need at 3 out of 5 stars to proceed to the next level. It only took him 2 or 3 tries each to move on so far and I think he’s on level 4 or 5 now.One problem we have with this game: the description says that the game is “double the craziness in two-player mode”, but it is decidedly not so. The two-player mode doesn’t have any added difficultly compared to the one-player mode. Meaning even though you’ve got two players, they don’t add any extra chickens to shoot. A level is exactly the same as it is when only one person is playing. So it’s rather easy to move up the levels if you’ve got two people playing.Overall, it’s a pretty fun game and can be mildly addictive. It’s not difficult, but then again I’m the type of person to become frustrated with ga.
This game is alright. Played it with my son last night. I was thinking it would be a bit easier for kids. I have only played “story mode” and the first “mini-game” which seems challenging. On story mode, your on a farm and you shoot the chickens as they come at you, your goal is to shoot them before they hit the screen as they fly at you, or before they throw an egg at you. You also have to find, health, energy, and the bonus golden egg. The first mini game is somewhat difficult but I think with practice it will get easier. You must shoot 100 chickens before 10 can escape the farm yard. Also after ten shots you must shake the wii remote to reload, which is a pain…I purchased for my boys, but just thought it would be a little bit easier as I have a special needs son.
This game is a simple, point-and-shoot-your-fake-gun-at-fake-chickens laugh riot. My 20-year-old daughter and I play it as a team, and we’ve had hours of fun with it. There’s nothing high tech about it. The graphics are cute. We’ve yet to conquer all the challenges on all the levels. As a single player, it’s definitely tougher to hit the goals. Our only complaint is that we wish there were more levels! For an easy, inexpensive game, I highly recommend Chicken Riot.
Fun and very interactive with the toy gun that comes with the game. This games I would give to older kids especially with the use of a toy game. It’s very entertaining and humorous!
I have been an retrolio customer for several years, but this is the first time I felt compelled to write a review. I was given a WII system for Christmas. My 5 year-old nephew was also given a WII for Christmas. I was searching for a fun game that he and I could play together. Chicken Riot was my first WII game purchase. I must say, it is the best WII game I have played to date. To be honest, I have only played a handful of games but this one is tops. The music is great, however if you don’t like harmonica or guitar music you might want to turn the sound down or off. The graphics is outstanding on my 60-inch HD TV. Chicken Riot is basically a arcade-type shooting game. The story premise is that the chickens are out to get the farmer. They throw eggs at you as you try to shoot them before they drain your energy. I must admit that I was a little frustrated at first because I could not score high enough to advance/unlock other games and levels. After about two months of play, I figured out the secret to high scores. Since, I have unlocked all levels and all games. Eventhough I have unlocked all of the games and levels, I continue to find the game very entertaining. My nephew loves it as well and we have spent hours dogging eggs and shooting cartoon chickens together. I was also impressed with how the game developers and graphics designers included items and scenes from other pop culture cartoons and movies. Keep your eyes open for them. They are amusing. I highl.
I got this game because my son & I like shooting games. We like to play the two player game and see who can get the highest score. Its a great game to help pass the time. The only problem i have with it is that it seems like no matter how high your score it will not let you pass the 4th level. So that gets a little frustrating. There are several mini games in this game so its not that big of a deal.
This game is meant to be a fun straight forward rack up points game. It is the follow-up to Chicken shoot and is quite different, but still fun. There is no plot so forget about that. Grab a pistol adaptor and have fun. great shooting game for kids, no blood or gore and not as boring as a target shooting game. Een my wife enjoys playing this game. It makes for a good laugh when company is over.
Great game if you want to just sit down and veg out for a while. Could have been a little better if you had control of your point of view, or location rather than the game moving you through it but over all it’s enough of a challenge to keep you going back to try and do better and better on each level.
well i gotta say that even my husband and i love this game.. it’s fun, gives you plenty of time to aim and fire, has a fun variety of weapons, great graphics, very funny and exciting.. oh yeah, and my son loves it too.. :P
