I got the game in amazing condition for its age and at a good price i am vary satisfied
This game is one of the best I have ever played. Although it’s challenging, it doesn’t get to the point of frustrating you. I have completed 4 of the 5 dungeons and beat the same number of bosses. It has taken me over 10 hours, but it has been a lot of fun and once you get the hang of the game you start going faster through the levels, although I was not familiar with Castlevania, because is the first version I play. If you like Devil May Cry then you will like this one. It’s very similar gameplay, the only thing is that Leon doesn’t have Dante’s guns. But you don’t need them because you can throw knives, crystals, crosses or axes to enemys. It’s definetely a must have game.
CASTLEVANIA IN 3-D????? ahhhhh, 2-D is what castlevania was born to be… look how amazing the contra for ps2 was… WHY??? … it was 2-D!!!!! just imagine if you would have made this game in 2-D !!!! … using the same 2-D models as in contra, and the stlye gameplay as "symphony of the night" or "aria of sorrow" oh my this game would have been flawless!!! just imagine it, another classic!! not this junky mess… didn’t you learn from the N-64 versions????? why fix what aint broken????? next time you guys are creating a "CASTLEVANIA" game, close your eyes and think 2-D, 2-D, 2-D !!! focus… and also keep the style of contra for ps2 in your mind … PERFECT!!!! now thats the way it should be done! also put it on a NINTENDO console… it was born there and shall die there !!!
It has great game play but when you get to the cut scenes it has the stutter when someone is speaking or so that is my experience. It’s always random when that happens too. The plot is good.
I am thoroughly impressed with Castlevania’s crossover to 3D. I’ve been a fan of the series since the beginning and I was a bit worried it would get the Devil May Cry treatment and it would be over. Luckily, it retains the simple and straightforward gameplay, cool music, great graphics and nifty bosses we’ve come to love from the series. It’s not SOTN, but it’s a great start into a new direction. The graphics are flawless with no slowdowns, and the music really is nice. Anyway, it’s really good!!! Get it!!!
For some reason it seems that all medieval vampire slayers were flaming metrosexuals. At least, that’s the impression that the Castlevania series of video games might leave you with – the heroes all certainly look as though they spend a lot of gold coin at International Male. “Ewww! You got blood on my lace petticoat sleeve!”That aside, this latest 3D addition is not only visually incredible, but a lot of fun to play – while it lasts. “Lament of Innocence” is the story of Leon Belmont, ancestor of the whole line of Belmont vampire slayers, whose girlfriend Sara gets kidnapped by mysterious evil forces, as is the drill. Smartly accessorized with a sassy whip ensemble and Britney Spears haircut, Leon sets out on an “epic quest” to rescue her and restore peace to the land. The game takes place almost entirely within the labyrinthine recesses of a huge haunted castle. Just inside the front door is a “hub” room that conveniently transports you to one of the game’s 5 main levels, which you can play in any order, although the difficulty varies and you may need to backtrack a few times. After you’ve beaten all 5, you can proceed to the final level and confrontation with no less a figure than Death himself. Plus, if you prevail over Death and you’re still looking for that “optional challenge,” there’s a secret dungeon in the castle, unlockable with a certain pickup, that houses a beast called “The Forgotten One,” arguably just as formidable an opponent. This all sounds perfectly strai.
Lament is a fun, though fairly short and simple, game that marks a promising new beginning for this beloved series since N64.
I’ve been playing Castlevania games for over ten years and I can say this is a fantastic installment. I will admit I was a bit skeptical of Lament Of Innocence due to the 3D aspect (grant it, I do enjoy the Nintendo 64 games) as I thought it may take away from the beautiful game-play that is Castlevania. Fortunately, I was dead wrong. Excuse me … DEAD WRONG. This game is absolutely amazing! From the second I put it into my Playstation 2 I knew great things were going to come from this game. Anyhow, I think it’s obvious that I love the game so let me continue with my review. You play the role of Leon Belmont … a man lusting for vengeance. Why? The lead antagonist, Walter Bernhard, has kidnapped Leon’s fiancee Sara Trantoul. Wandering to Walter’s domain (Castlevania), Leon enters and so our adventure begins.Graphically, this game is flawless. This is definitely the most beautiful and majestic incarnation of Castlevania yet. The soft glow of the candles, the immaculate designs etched throughout … need I go on? The atmosphere is simply incredible. Screenshots of Lament Of Innocence really don’t do it justice. Visually, this is the most enthralling game I’ve played yet … perfection. As for the game-play itself, I also think it’s brilliant :-) Leon is easy to move around and the controlling is very responsive. Using the whip is a pleasure to say the least; especially when you begin to advance in the game and learn new combos … wonderful fun!Musically, well,.
Lament of Innocence is a great castlevania game. The gameplay is great! There are tons of different power ups and Items to collect. The quest is interesting and keeps you going. The soundtrack is excellent and when the creepy organ music starts blasting you almost feel like you are exploring the dank halls of castlevania personally.
