I received Black Ops Xbox edition the day it came out and immediately played online multiplayer. I loved it. The shear addition of game modes (one in the chamber, gun game, sharpshooter, etc.) sets this game apart from Modern Warfare 2 (which also had great multiplayer). Another feature, which I believe to be the best, is that you can now have a guest play with you online. I hated having to hand the controller off to my friend and take turns. You’re friend can also sign into their Xbox Live account and earn COD points and XP points too. You can now stay in the same party chat (basically talk to your friends and only your friends) which is good because as a gamer, I always hate hearing a little 9 year old telling me I suck. The amount of weapons in Black Ops is also great (I think there is 40 weapons). None of them seem to be too powerful as some did in Modern Warfare 2. They did the same with the perks, none of them are too overpowering.Now on to the campaign. I beat it on regular mode, so I can’t attest for gameplay at any other level of difficulty. As some others have mentioned there are some obvious flaws. For starters, the AI (the computer controlled aspect) is pretty bad. The AI on your side doesn’t help at all. In fact, I often looked at them to see them shooting at the ground. This puts a damper on play, because it takes away from the realism. The graphics are also a little disappointing (compared to MW2). The campaign has some beautiful moments (certain cutscenes) but also some pretty bad ones. Also during gameplay, you feel like someone is holding your hand. You always have to “follow” and stay behind. I would really like to go out on my own even if it means getting blown up. FInally, the campaign is short. I mean REALLY short. About six hours of gameplay. But considering the multiplayer, the game has great replay value.The Good:-Great multiplayer -Lots of guns -Can play online with friend on same Xbox -Can party chat -Some cool.

I have always been a fan of the Call of Duty franchise. In my opinion, this is one of the best CoD games that I have ever bought and played. If you’re a fan of CoD and do not own this game, you should purchase it.
My xbox 360 had been collecting dust for over a year, then a relative turned me onto this game in live mode. That’s all she wrote; been playing an hour or two every day since then, at the expense of my personal life haha. Just ordered a headset too so I can start trash talking like everyone else. Only wish I had checked retrolio for the xbox live membership before paying direct through the xbox; would have saved $20, thanks Microsoft.
best call of duty ever made. the multiplayer is amazing, everything is balanced and fun. the zombies, omg the zombies. its half the reason u should get the game. after a while multiplayer would lose its flare but never zombies, was always fun to slaughter the dead. if your looking at it then get it
i liked the game at first but after a while on live it got really boring how u had to buy guns with ur money instead of unlocking it. For me i like mw2 better bcuz it had better graphics. Tho in mw2 i wish tht they had zombies cuz zombies is really fun on black ops. N thats y i play black ops its fun to but i would like combat training betteer than live haha. But i say zombies should hav or be able to hav every gun on the wall jus for more money. Or just make it hard to get a ray gun or a thunder gun or use the box 2 pick ur gun for a lot more money than on the wall.
