black is one of the most amazing games i have ever played on the ps2. the entire game and every thing in it is destuctable. for instance you shoot a car enough itll blow up with a huge explostion. the coolest part of this game is the reloding sequence. the part of the game that most game designers forget about is reloding and half the time the gun just disapers and pops up reloded. but not here, here the guns, relods, and exploshins are all real. this game also has someof the best grafix ive seen BUY IT U WONT BE DISSAPOINTED
I have played a lot of FPS games, both computer and PS2, but Black takes the cake! I rented this game and decided to play the ‘hard’ level and what a trip it is to play.Not only is it challenging but highly addictive. Make sure you leave the PS2 system on if you decide to stop playing; otherwise, you will find that the game does not save your game play unless you finish the level.Watch out for the guys running around with the hockey-style masks on, they have shotguns and superior armor over the other enemies, making them much harder to kill.For a more realistic approach and hair-raising experience, I suggest playing Black on the ‘hard’ level, you won’t be dissapointed.
Honestly as a hardcore FPS fan, I was a little disappointed with the entire game. I had a lot of fun playing it, I mean what kind of FPS fan wouldn’t love the ability to shoot and destroy everything in the environment?!!! Everything in this game was as realistic as it gets for the PS2, except the enemy AI. I’d say that real life terrorists are smarter than portrayed in the game. They do like to hang around around all of the explosives while you shoot at them. Also the first minefield you come upon is littered with clusters of mines. This makes it really easy to take out some of your “careful” enemies. Just shoot one mine and the other 6 around it explode!! I also found that a lot of small, brown crates contain small tanks of gas that you would use for your gas grill.The sound and graphics are amazing!!! I just cranked up the volume and started shooting, I was amazed at how realistic the guns sounded. But there is a lot of room for improvement with the game. There could have been more levels, more ways to kill your foes, and a deeper storyline. Honestly I think this was a great introduction to the sequel, that I believe will be made for the PS3. With a better system to run it on you will have more room for a story, more ways to kill your foes, I mean come on!!!! You are part of a special CTU, this game should include some tactical combat as well as some shoot em up thrills! This may be one of the few games i can play repeatedly. There’s some games you can only play once and you’re done. Or some games you will play, beat, and not touch it for years. This one was different for me. I have a complete copy for the Xbox, a disc only copy for the ps2, and recently just bought a full copy. Fod the time it was released, the graphics are amazing. The only thing I dont like is how isolated you are most of the game. There are some missions where you have teammates, but not many. Too bad this never got a sequel or a remake (at least not yet)
Great game. Its pretty much a shooter, going from location to location putting as much lead down range as necessary to drop your enemies. As you go you need to collect Intel, files, and blow up certain things to progress. Great weapons, the nicest thing though is you can do a tactical reload on the shotguns, you leave a round in the chamber and you reload but if you need to drop a target you can.
I made the mistake of thinking this was a target shooting type game and never picked it up when it first came out. Big mistake. The pictures on the back of the box showed too many things exploding and didn’t give me a good idea about the graphics and complex, detailed levels that this game has. So after recently finishing all the SOCOM games, I was in the mood for another military gun based title. Enter BLACK.This game is hands down the most exciting, best looking first person shooting game on the PS2 console! The main story is simple: you are a CIA BLACK operative being interrogated by your boss about the details of your mission. Thankfully, the only cut scenes are before each level, after that it’s ALL action!There are 8 levels which may not seem like many, but after the first one, they get longer and longer. Almost seeming like 2-3 levels within one. Each level will start you off with a particular weapon or two, where you then pick up different guns along your path of destruction ( AK-47, M16, Rocket launchers, shotguns, MAC-10, Sniper rifles, grenades etc. ) Along with shooting enemies, the destruction is intense when you take out walls, cars, windows and anything else in your way. Great sound and visuals with splintering wood, shattering glass and bullet holes in everything you hit. Look for explosive objects throughout the levels like cars and gasoline barrels for big explosions! Don’t forget to use your weapon suppressor to take out enemies without alerting others clo.
i love this game… no scratches, and came with everything books; as well with two little papers idk what they are, but overall this is a tight game!!
This is the a perfectly made game. If you love to be trigger happy this is the game for you.It has a good story line and gameplay. The only downside is you have to play the same missions over and over again.
