Berzerk was an arcade favorite of mine back in the day…ive plunked down lots of quarters in this one when i was a kid… later when the 2600 version came out..it was on my wish list…and i remember getting this one for my birthday…what joy! i still remember the tv commercial with the kid asking his grandma if she wants to play berzerk? classic!…this is a spot on translation of the arcade classic.. and i have to say its one of the best conversions atari ever put out next to space invaders that is…..ok this isnt a graphic intensive game..then again neither was the arcade version…but it was still FUN ! and it still is a blast to play in 2012… proving once again that the classics dont get old..they only get better!blasting robots in an endless maze…never gets old… be careful of those electrafied walls and… watch out for evil otto because hes a pain!bottom line, if you like classic games Berzerk for the atari 2600 is a game that you should check out..

I was looking for a gift for a friend that’s a vintage gamer, and came across this shop. Good selection, and the experience was very solid. The game was in working order, and in good condition. My buddy was very happy with this gift.
Berzerk is a silly game where you endlessy navigate a maze while shooting robots and avoiding the evil smiley face that chases you. Honestly, that smiley face is enough to give you nightmares. It is fun and challenging with about 10 different difficulty settings. What is not to like?
I had never played or even heard of this game before I bought it and I absolutely love it. The only problem I find is that it doesn’t have a two player mode.

Berzerk…the name says it all. A stellar arcade game during the 80’s, it translated well to the Atari 2600 game console. Although the electronic voice is NOT in the 2600 version, all the other gameplay elements are there.It starts out easy with robots that don’t shoot at you, but picks up from there with the very next maze. Over time, the robots will increase their shooting speed and walking speed. And Otto? When he appears, RUN! This game is excellent, and the graphics are top-notch for the time it was produced.Adjustable difficulty means you can ramp it up, or make it so Otto never appears. Many choices for you as the player to customize your Berzerk experience. I highly recommend this for any Atari 2600 collector who is looking for a good game to add to their library. As I’ve said in other 2600 reviews, make sure to buy a loose copy for play, and then try to get a complete in-box copy with the instructions. This game even came with a comic book, if you can find it.Look on Youtube for the commercial with the Grandma playing Berzerk. Too funny!
