Good jrpg game
This game is amazing. Although it is the only other Atelier game I have played besides Atelier Annie: Alchemists of Sera Island, it wasnt too hard to learn the basics of. The graphics are beautiful, the characters are so lovable, and the story is fantastic. I love this game and have played it almost every day since I have recieved it. A definite get for RPG lovers.
I love this game. It is similar to rorona with the assignment reports but the gathering, synthesis, and combat are a little different. It is much easier since you can have six characters in your party now. I definately reccomend to anyone who is a fan of atelier or jrpgs.
In order to get full value out of this game you’re going to have to be prepared to play it from both characters point of view. Unlike some pervious timed/quest Atelier titles, this one gives you more than enough time to complete your main quest and plenty of free time to build up your synthesis skills and levels. You’re going to need lots of both because even with all this free time there’s no way I could finish everything. Even playing through the second time with the other character I wasn’t able to defeat a couple tough enemies and there were a couple quest I didn’t get done. I really enjoyed the synthesis of materials and imbuing weapons and armor trying to get them as best as they could be. If the ratings were out of 10 I’d call this a 9 since the only thing that I found annoying was the frequency and length of a lot of cut scenes that really had nothing to do with the game itself. At least on the second time around you have the choice of pushing the square button and breezing through a lot of these scenes.
Fun game, to me a improvement over the last few games. Some may disagree but I really hated feeling pressed for time in the earlier titles. I loved being able to craft random item combinations and enjoyed the less complex yet still challanging synthesis . While some of the character’s could use more personality I thought the chemistry between Escha and Logy was cute. Theria was also an amazing character. Towards the end it felt like the game could have used a few more dungeons and maybe a few side quests. I would have like to have seen some sort of build your town up mechanic or something. The music is wonderfully done and easily one of my favorite things about this title. You pretty much have to play this game twice if you want the true ending,so if you’re looking for replay value there is definitely some there. TL;DR:Overall, this a very light hearted game . I think both veterans of the series and newcomers alike will enjoy this game. Relaxed pacing and ease of synthesis make it easy to explore the game. More optional dungeons and maybe some additional mechanics would have made this game more meaty.
It works great and love paying it.
Great game
a gift
Lovely game. I was so happy to see this series go back to the dual language option. I liked "Atelier Ayesha," but oh, god, the horrible, HORRIBLE English dub was just…horrible. Anyways, this game was much more fun, and I really enjoyed the option for dual main characters. And since most of the Atelier cast are female, it was really nice to have a male character to play. It reminded me of the Mana Khemia ones, which had male leads. The only complaint I have of this game is the time limit. I really do dislike feeling rushed when it comes to game play. Other than that, it was really great, and I highly recommend it. :)
From a personal standpoint I love JRPGs with beautiful art, great storylines, quirky characters and interesting game play mechanics. Atelier Escha and Logy delivers all of these things. I don’t want to give too much of the actual story away but just for a general overview Escha and Logy are two distinct alchemists. At the beginning of the game you are given the choice of which alchemist you play as, which is great because it gives the game tons of replay value because eventually you’ll want to play the other protagonist as well. As with previous Atelier games, your main goal in this one is to help the development of your town. Escha and Logy do this as members of the town’s R&D department(research and development) You explore ruins, synthesize things, help the townspeople, defeat monsters and the whole 9 yards. One really cool improvement over previous games is that Logy for example, is able to use a combination of Alchemy and really cool sword attacks. Even Escha seems stronger than her predecessors in battle. The art and cut scenes for Atelier games are always top notch, but this game blows all the other Atelier PS3 games out of the water in that department. I definitely recommend the game to anyone who has enjoyed other Atelier games or even games like Tales of Xillia which is another JRPG that I loved and found equally addicting although the games are decidedly different.
