Great product, good shipping
Good game, its a shame the changed the format for the new AC games, difficult but good, worth the pick up
This entry in the Armored Core series has a power to grip you and make you want to succeed, all while optimizing your own AC for both missions and your own playstyle. Why did I say that? For starters, this is one of those games that, no matter your equipment (we’ll assume you’re reasonably equipped), you can complete every single mission in the game. There are a few situations where you may substitute in a weapon or two for a specific mission, but that’s completely up to you. There are three general weight classes and the pros and cons are somewhat obvious. For example, the light-weight builds tend to be very quick, but have low health and can’t carry as much in terms of weaponry. These builds are better suited for close-range types. On the other end of the spectrum, heavy-weight builds can carry just about any combination of weapons you desire, have a lot of health, but are painfully slow. Personally, I’ve used both and both work perfectly fine. There are 42 missions in total, a normal and hard version of each (hard usually has other bonuses for completion), 42 one on one matches (you win the occasional part and the schematic for each, so if you liked a NPC NEXT you can build it when you get the parts easy), a design system to make your own, share, and build the default ones, a variety of weapons including what I like to call the "scatter bazooka" to long range laser cannons. There are some annoying problems however, such as enemies shooting through solid objects (mo.
V and Verdict day are always online, so if you want an Armored Core game that "just works", this is the way to go.
I been playing Armored Core since sony gave birth to PS1. not a hardcore fan, just following my own tradition of games, same goes for ACE COMBAT and RE(Resident Evil) enough with that.5 stars – I was very stunned after playing this game for about an hour.CUSTOMIZE – Customization of your Mech is very detailed, every aspec of equipment you add to your mech required little though of making sure that its stable. which means if you carry a heavy right side shoulder weapon, it would be in your best interest to even the weight by adding a heavy left arm weapon, left shoulder weapon, or add a stabilizer would greatly improve the balance of your mech.STORY – at the begining of the game your a mercenary mech pilot. you need to pick one out of four companies that will determine which mech you will be using. NOTE*(you will be able to pick whatever mech suits your style later thru the game.)MISSIONS – depending on which mission you take and accomplished reveals your role thru the game either for “lets abandon the earth later” team or for “lets stop them from living in the sky” team.BOSS BATTLE – Monstrous bosses, most of the boss are 5,000 times larger than your mech. With that said, you mostly like need to detroy a certain area of the slow moving monster to accomplish the mission. some are not so easy to do, coz they can obliterate your mech in just 3 or 4 hits. strategy is a definite key to success.RANKING – Your not a super skilled pilot, so you start out as a nobody thru the story mo.
I love playing the Armored Core series! The story is great and the customization of mechs is good. The only problem I have with them is that their stories are a little short for my liking and is not available on PC. Overall, amazing game!
As someone who grew up playing Space Invaders, I have to say that most of the console games out today are terrible. I’ve been trying to get back into gaming and I haven’t had too much luck. I find games like Resistance and GTA 4, boring and repetitive, involving very little thought to actual game play.Armored Core for Answer is fun. It’s not boring and it certainly doesn’t feel repetitive. It takes a little bit of a learning curve, but anyone who has watched Robotech or played Infocom’s Battletech or Mech Warrior 3 can pick it up quickly. The missions are fun because:1) You’re a giant robot2) There’s lot’s of mission strategy, from equipping your NEXT, to actual game play. Many reviews complain that the graphics aren’t that great. Graphics should always be secondary to game play. And Armored Core is all about game play. It’s really sad that there are few good strategy games for the console machines. But Armored Core for Answer is an overlooked rare gem for those willing to give it a try.
This game is just flat out fun. Yes the graphics suck. But it just doesn’t matter. The basic gameplay is fun.I spent countless hours tweaking and trying different builds. The story is minimal and presented to the player through the missions. There is an element of mystery to it all. With some googling you can embellish the story and fill in the gaps. Regardless I liked the tone that was set and how the story was revealed. The player can select different paths by choosing different missions, so there is some re-playability.The music is great. All of it. Not one bad piece. You could buy the game just to listen to the music. Its that good. The gameplay. The controls. Everything is very tight & responsive. That makes the combat fun. What I don’t like:1. This game made me dizzy or nauseous at times.2. Some of the missions in the game are not clear. While doing the mission its sometimes not clear what the primary goal is. Or maybe I’m just stupid. But some more help while playing the missions would have helped.3. Load times. Everything takes forever!I wish this game was longer and had more missions. This game is old, so don’t expect anyone to be available on multiplayer.
Real good game. Cool mech stuff.
