I have to say that for PS2 this is a great game. Of course, nothing compares to the original arcade game where you sit on the snow mobile, move back & forth, feel the cool breeze, etc., but putting that aside, this is a pretty awesome game! Same courses & riders, etc., and you feel all the vibrations and such in the PS2 controller.I would, however, shop around on the price but at it’s current price it’s not too bad. If you like fun, excitement and challenge this is a good game for all ages!

take twisted metal, road rash, the need for speed, and tony hawk pro skater, mix ’em all together and throw in some snow and you got arctic thunder. you race on 12 tracks with your choice of 15 different characters and a variety of tricks to earn points, to get cash, so you can upgrade your vehicle. you can punch your opponents if your close enough, and if that doesnt do it for you just fire a missle at ’em.

My wife and I recently bought this game so we could play a game that had a two player mode. So far so good. There are a couple different options, it’s not just racing (there’s a battle mode and more). The game is a lot of fun and I would highly recomend it for anyone who likes racing with a little violence mixed in. I think there are better racing, or action games out there, but like I said this is a fun one to play as one player or two.
