Retro vGames Affiliate Program Policy

Welcome to the Retro vGames Affiliate Program!

We’re excited to allow you to earn money while sharing your love for retro gaming. As an affiliate, you can earn up to 10% commission on every qualifying sale you refer to Retro vGames.com. Please review the following Affiliate Program Policy carefully. By joining or participating in our program, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below.

1. Eligibility

To join the Retro vGames Affiliate Program, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have an active website, blog, YouTube channel, or social media presence.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Have a PayPal or valid bank account for receiving payouts.

We reserve the right to reject any application if we believe your platform or content is not a good fit for our brand.

2. Commission Structure

Affiliates earn up to 10% commission on net sales (excluding shipping, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks) generated through their unique referral link.

Commission Tiers:

  • 0–$499/month in sales: 5% commission
  • $500–$1999/month: 7% commission
  • $2,000+/month: 10% commission

Commission rate resets every month and is recalculated based on monthly referred sales.

3. Cookie Duration

We use a 30-day tracking cookie. This means you’ll receive credit for purchases made by users within 30 days of clicking your referral link, provided no other affiliate link was clicked afterward.

4. Payout Terms

  • Payouts are made on the 15th of every month for commissions earned in the previous calendar month.
  • Minimum payout threshold: $50. If you do not reach the threshold, your earnings will roll over to the next month.
  • Payouts are made via PayPal or direct bank transfer (where supported).

Note: Commissions on refunded or canceled orders will be deducted from future payouts.

5. Promotional Guidelines

To maintain the integrity of our brand, affiliates must follow these rules:

  • You may promote your affiliate link via your website, blog, email newsletter, YouTube, or social media.
  • Paid ads that directly compete with Retro vGames (e.g., bidding on our brand name or URL) are strictly prohibited.
  • Do not misrepresent yourself as Retro vGames or claim to be an official representative of our brand.
  • Use only approved banners, logos, or promotional materials, or request custom ones if needed.

We periodically audit our affiliates. If you’re found to be in violation of any part of this policy, we reserve the right to withhold any outstanding commissions and may pursue legal action if the violation is severe.

6. Prohibited Activities

Affiliates found engaging in the following may be terminated immediately and have their commissions forfeited:

  • Use of spam, misleading claims, or false advertising.
  • Promoting on adult, hate, illegal, or inappropriate websites.
  • Cookie stuffing or use of pop-ups/pop-unders that set affiliate cookies.
  • Use of discount or coupon sites without prior approval.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your affiliate account at any time if:

  • You violate any terms of this policy.
  • Your content or promotion methods are harmful to our brand.
  • You are inactive for more than 3 consecutive months.

You may also cancel your participation in the program at any time by contacting Support.

8. Brand Usage

Affiliates are allowed to mention “Retro vGames” and our products in a promotional context, but must not:

  • Alter our brand name (e.g., RetroV, RVG, etc.) in a misleading way.
  • Create social media handles or websites that appear to be official Retro vGames pages.

9. Legal Compliance

As an affiliate, you are responsible for:

  • Clearly disclosing your affiliate relationship as per FTC guidelines (e.g., using phrases like “I may earn a commission”).
  • Complying with all relevant data protection, advertising, and marketing laws in your jurisdiction.

Failure to comply may result in removal from the program and forfeiture of commissions.

10. Changes to This Policy

Retro vGames reserves the right to update or change this Affiliate Policy at any time. Continued participation after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.
