Nintendo 64 (N64) Console – Refurbished & Ready to Play
The Nintendo 64 (N64), released in 1996, was the first Nintendo console built for true 3D gaming. It introduced the analog joystick, four-player multiplayer as a standard feature, and a library that still defines "must-play retro games" today. At Retro vGames, every N64 console we sell is professionally refurbished, deep-cleaned, and function-tested before it ships — so you can plug in and start playing the same day it arrives.
We stock N64 consoles, controllers, cartridge games, and console + game bundles, all backed by our 1-year warranty and free shipping across the US and Canada.

How We Refurbish Every N64 Console
Each unit goes through the same four-step inspection before listing:
- Cartridge slot cleaning — the 91-pin connector is cleaned and tested so games load consistently without the classic "blow into the cartridge" flicker.
- Internal component check — motherboard, RF/AV module, and power regulation are inspected for stable, long-term performance.
- Controller testing — analog stick, D-pad, and all buttons are checked for accurate, responsive input.
- AV output test — composite video and stereo audio are verified on a CRT or compatible display for a clear picture and sound.
Only consoles that pass all four checks are listed for sale, and each one ships with a 1-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a refurbished Nintendo 64 worth buying? Yes. A professionally refurbished N64 has had its cartridge slot, internals, controllers, and AV output tested and cleaned, so it performs like new without the risk of buying an untested unit from a private seller. Every console from Retro vGames includes a 1-year warranty.
Does the Nintendo 64 work on modern TVs? The N64 outputs composite AV (RCA), which most modern TVs still support via an RCA or RCA-to-HDMI adapter. For the sharpest picture, an original CRT television remains the best match for the console's native output.
How many players can play on one N64 console? Up to four players simultaneously — the N64 was the first mainstream home console built around four-player multiplayer, which is why games like Mario Kart 64, GoldenEye 007, and Super Smash Bros. remain party-game favorites.
What's included with an N64 console order? Every console ships with the essential accessories needed to plug in and play (console unit, AC adapter, and AV cable); bundle listings also include the controller and game cartridges shown on that specific product page. Check each product page for the exact contents.
