Others have put more time and effort into their reviews, I just wanted to say I loved this game, it was fun to play, and I almost never touched it due to bad reviews. If you like NIS games in general, this is a fantastic game.
Awesome love it Very good service!THANK YOU
NICE GIFT
I like NIS games and I like dungeon crawling like games.Finding out they made a dungeon crawling game, this was a sure-buy for me. I like the typical NIS humor and music. It has a generic RPG element which I like (with a few tweaks) and although the graphics aren’t all that, everything else is good anyway.I only wished they’d let us set up equipment sets for each "facet." You’ll know if you get the game.I recommend this for NIS and dungeon crawling fans.
First, I would like to address the scene in which everyone has been including in their reviews, The scene with the mother is indeed jarring; however, the mother is not actually gang raped by the mice as she flees immediately. This act of brutality seems to define Metallia’s initial character early on; however, Nisa clearly stated before the release that the game would be much darker than any of its predecessors. The mother is supposedly cooked by Metallia’s completely un-loyal, forest witch supporting butler. The tutorial, while seemingly long, provides a detailed explanation of most of the controls. I was able to breeze past the tutorial in about three minutes by utilizing the auto skip function. This game utilizes new concepts, while still maintaining the Nisa mechanics of its predecessors. The graphics during exploration are not the best; however, the scenario graphics are artistically intrinsic and rival any of the company’s past work. Customers cannot make a value judgment about a singular scene in the first chapter and then denounce the game. Yes the game is graphic and it should have a M rating due to some of the content; however, the battle mechanics are solid, the storyline is intriguing and the characters maintain unique personalities with as of yet undiscovered nuances. While the mouse scene may seem bad, please judge the story and it’s characters in the complete context before disowning the game.
Despite the sketchy initial chapter, which seemed to everyone’s main complaint is, if you get passed that AND get into the story presented here, this has to be one of the best Nippon Ichi games that rival the first Disgaea title in story. Now the gameplay could’ve been better, yes, but it’s the characters here that take the spotlight. Metallia’s voice in particular, makes this a great character. Fairly new to the scene, Sarah Williams does a absolutely fantastic job as her. Listening to her speak, laugh, and deliver these lines was treat of itself.
I love NIS games, so needless to say, I’m some sort of a fanboy, so I don’t need to explain how fun this game is and how funny it is. I love this company and their service is impeccable!I received a CD with the game’s official soundtrack/OST! I don’t know if this game always comes with it, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received this game!I’m always a bit sceptical when it comes to misc. companies that sell on retrolio, but this company definitely made me reconsider! Very much impressed, and very quick delivery!
I love this game, it has a really funny and dark humor, the story is a little weird but really good too. it really got to like it, haven’t finished it though
Thank you for the game!
Addictive fun is how I would describe this game. I have finished the Act 1 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, it has made me impatient to finish the other acts.POSITIVES:*Real-time action (I hate turn-based games)*Dubbed in English: Most of the dialogue is dubbed in English. Japanese dub is also available.*Open-world: You select an area you wish to go to from a world-map and those areas are open for exploration. You can re-visit the areas as many times as you like.*Easy gameplay: The Gigacals and different attacks may seem complicated but it was very easy to understand once I started playing and in fact added to the variety of combat, making it fun.*Fun characters: The characters are very interesting and unlike do-gooder angsty heroes, you get to play for a truly wicked witch. Wait till you see what Lia, excuse me, Metalia does to an enemy of hers at the end of Act 1; it’ll make you shudder!*Very interesting story: I was very intrigued by the story and made me want to learn more. There’s a mystery as to who Metalia really is.*Adjustable difficulty: I am playing at Normal difficulty and had no difficulty defeating enemies. You can lower/increase the difficulty level at any time in the game without any penalty.NEGATIVES:*Graphics quality not up to par: This game does not take full advantage of the PS3’s graphics capabilities. The graphics quality is not bad but it looks like a PS2 game rather than a PS3 game. However, the gameplay was so much fun that this minor flaw was ove.
