The new Uncharted has come out and you’ll get to see some of your favorite characters. You’ll get to play as Nathan Drake, treasure hunter, and all around finder of trouble. This adventure will actually have you reliving a little of your past, and also why you even got into the treasure hunting game. Once again you’ll have to scale walls, figure out puzzles, and try not to die to get to the ultimate discovery for your character. That of course is what happened to Sir Francis Drake during his travels. You think you have half the puzzle, but that’s only the beginning.Graphically this game contines to blow my mind. I seriously think that the team that works on the Uncharted series is always trying to find a way to squeeze just a little bit more out of the PlayStation 3, and they continue to succeed. The different locations that you’ll get to travel through, and the effects are amazing. You’ll get to see plenty of different looking climbs in this game, and the look and feel of the puzzles (or obstacles) set in your path. The character designs of course look amazing. The one thing that I think sets them apart from the rest is the fact that they modeled in imperfections, a not so nicely tucked in shirt, a little bit of extra hair on the neck showing that the last haircut Drake got was a while ago, and so much more. The sounds of the game belong in a movie, and sometimes I feel like I’ve almost heard the tune playing in a movie. The voice acting is also beyond solid. There is emotion.
I loved the past “Uncharted” games but I did have my reservations. Too much jumping from ledge to ledge, puzzles that you would have to be a CIA agent to solve, cut scenes that were enjoyable but long. The games always had great graphics and great camera controls and shooting schemes and the epic music was memorable. But this installment blew me away! Apparently the game designers, unlike EA, take their customers concerns more seriously. There is just enough jumping from ledge to ledge to let you know you are playing a Uncharted game. The puzzles are intuitive yet not too simple and the longest cut scene lasts one minute, if even that long. The exceptional graphics are somehow improved. But it is in the area of the engaging and tense game play that this installment shines. And thank God the button mashing is kept to a minimum. It really is a game of strategy. The improvement in game play is the best area of improvement I have seen in any game. The game controls are spot on. This has always been my favorite all time game on any console. The story line keeps you fully engaged and wondering what is going to happen next. Who is going to decieve who? Who can be trusted? The only complaint others might have, though to me it is a plus, the game can be comnpleted in 15 hours. Yes, so what if there are games that take 150 hours to play. That is 150 hours taken out of your real life that could have been time better spent in investing time and energy in your real life. The ending is sp.
I really enjoyed most aspects of this game -1. There is much more hand to hand combat than in the previous 2 uncharted installments2. The scenery and landscape of the locations is beautiful and the graphics over all are top notch3. The dialogue is again masterful. Sully is my all time favorite video game side kick and the relationship between Drake and his estranged wife is deep and complex…4. The plot of the game is almost enthralling…I know it has been said before but it really is like a movie.5. The main villain this time is not in your face violent, but a more subtle and yet somehow more evil entity.6. The gun battles are very challenging. If you play the game on any difficulty besides easy, you will likely have to make several attempts to master each chapter.( Small Spoiler )…This being said there were a few minor things that bugged me like the fact that Drake never seems to get an actual payday and the endless climbing can get a bit tedious…other than that – a great game
Great game! It’s like an action movie. Never a good place to stop
I have always liked the Uncharted series because you had to figure things out every now and then (you remember Myst? Loved it!). But the longer it goes on (the series that is), the heavier it seems to get into cut scenes and run-and-gun, fewer puzzles. Anyone else see it that way? Maybe it’s just me. I don’t know. Still a great game though. Could we have some more puzzles over here please?
“Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception” is definitely a must-have game! I didn’t think it could get any better than “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” but they completely proved me wrong. Great gameplay, amazing graphics and animation, and awesome effects. The multiplayer part of the game is some of the most fun I’ve had.
As you expected from the Uncharted series. Great action sequences, engaging gameplay, fantastic characters and interesting dialogue exchanges, and this is my favorite story so far out of the uncharted series. However I thought it was a little too short for my liking, maybe because it is so good I wanted more. Nevertheless great game!
I first experienced this series with the second title, Among Thieves, which was my first game when I bought the PS3 in 2009. It was amazingly awesome! It was one of those games that did what it was supposed to do: lead the main character through an epic series of events in a movie like experience. Since then, I haven’t played such a fun and thrilling single-player. When I had achieved all the trophies, I was hoping for a third release. But how would the third compare?Considering how I skipped the first in the series, Drake’s Fortune, I dove into it as soon as an opportunity presented itself. I unfortunately didn’t get that chance ’til I get my hands on it a couple of weeks before Drake’s Deception released. Again, it was just as good as the sequel, but Uncharted 2 edged it out by a long shot. So, with all that said, what are my thoughts on the third game.I loved the first two games. Naughty Dog did an unbelievable job with the Uncharted series and it did not disappoint this time around. Drake’s Deception developed and integrated new elements into the way the game is played. It still does a great job at how the story is told and most definitely stays within the elements of the series. I absolutely love the third installment of the Uncharted series.Final thoughts, along with the latest Call of Duty title, Uncharted 3 was the only other game I wanted to get this year. I’m not a hardcore gamer who buys every game. 2-3 games at most is what I’m willing to get each year and if Unch.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.I’m _not_ a hardcore gamer. I’m almost 50 yo and I have other things I need to do … but when I want to relax and forget whatever drama my day has delivered I like to fire up the PS3 and get lost in a fantasy.U3:DD is a brilliant distraction. The story is engaging. The action is way way over-the-top fun. And the graphics make you feel like you are right THERE!At first I was a bit disappointed. I have grown to love the “sandbox” style of gaming … I love me some GTA IV, the GTA IV Liberty City Stories, INfamous, INFamous2 … I love the ability to wander around and do a mission when you feel like it … or not.U3:DD doesn’t let you wander too far from the main story line but then you probably won’t care because the main story line is so interesting.I was a big fan of Myst and Riven “back in the day” because they transported me to another reality, and because I loved the puzzles. How do I get from point A to point B with all these obstacles? U3:DD has places where you have to think your way out of different enviroments. I love that! The gun play is fun. The puzzles are fun. The enviroments are breathtakingly beautiful. There is a gunfight in a ship graveyard during a storm that made me literally laugh out loud after I made it through. There is a long drawn-out escape from the burning ruins of a mansion in the south of France. There is a battle on a sinking cruise ship that seems to go on forever. Just when you think you are safe, something else.
I purchased this game because after searching references, I think it is excellent, I will get several hours of fun and challenge to those who like the genre. Also, I give this rating, because apart from that it is a great game, the quality of service provided by retrolio. com, is always in the top, providing a quality service.
