Ghost Recon is a welcome break from death match, you-must-be-on-speed-to-keep-up type games. Instead of pulling a trigger and running around until you kill someone, this game forces you to develop detailed strategies to accomplish your tasks. The action you do encounter (and there is plenty) is intensified by the fact the stakes are much higher — a couple of bullets or a well-placed grenade takes you out of the game. This forces you to develop a properly planned and well executed course of action. The game is squad based. During single player mode, you play one of six soldiers and can switch between them at any time. Your player leads one squad of three, and you set a course of action for the other squad which is controlled by AI. As you complete missions and tasks, you unlock addition items such as new soldiers to choose from. Surviving missions also increases soldier skill.Ghost Recon has significant replay value. It has 15 levels and 50 different tasks to complete, but because there are so many strategies that can be used to complete a level, they can be played numerous times with the same enjoyment level. Of course, on-line play adds tremendous replay and excitement. In my opinion, the mark of a good game is how quickly time slips by while you are playing. Time after time I have intended to wrap up in 10 minutes only to find that an hour has passed. This is a fantastic game.I do have a few complaints. The graphics are generally good, but can be on the choppy side at times..
The game isn’t what I remember. I had it back when I was younger and didn’t understand all the controls then. Now I actually understand what to do and the game is a lot more fun than it used to be.
Game functioned like new after cleaning, came with box and manual as described, and arrived promptly. Well done, lads
I originally didn’t get this game because I thought I would be dissapointed and it wouldn’t be up to the standards of his books, I was absolutely wrong! There are very diverse missions ranging from Russia and Russian ultranationalists trying to recreate the Soviet Union to an invasion by Ethiopia into a small country on its border. You’re not just stuck in one environment. That was a very plesant surprise for me as I thought the game was finished after my brother and I beat the Russian level, only to be pleased with 8 more missions in a different location. Between the environments, there are a total of 23 missions, an oustanding amount that’ll give you hours of fun gameplay. There are also a variety of tasks you have to accomplish in the game in various missions, from capturing a warlord to destroying parts of a downed secret American spy plane, to rescuing NATO soldiers held hostage, to escorting UN relief supply trucks. The only drawback I think the game has now, and I only noticed it because I’ve played this game after I’ve played newer games such as SOCOM II, is that the graphics aren’t as good as a game like SOCOM. However, with the gameplay as fun as it is, it wasn’t a big distraction. The controls are easy if you’ve played a game like SOCOM or SOCOM II as well as some other RPG/FPS games which use the R1 button to shoot. Unfortunately, the game manual is rather a waste so you end up having to learn by trial and error how to change between your secondary and primary weapons.
works great
perfect

Tom Clancy, You DA Man! Realism, Sweat, and Fear. Expect only the best from him. I have Always been a Tom Clancy Fan Starting w/ Rainbow Six.EASTERN EUROPE, 2008. Command the Ghosts: An elite handful of specially trained Green Berets, Armed with the latest technology and the deadliest weapons, in a mission to keep the lid on a new war before it mushrooms…literally.Well, I just have to say this is a pretty Sweet game. I really like how the game is designed. It has very good Graphics, the game play is top notch and the story in general is cool. I also like the 8 Desert Siege missions. To me, they are a cool encore to the game and ad a nice finishing touch. I also like the awards that you can win. I just would like to add one little note: I am not sure if this is just me but i noticed that the enemies in the first 15 missions are kind of pear shaped. I just felt like stating that.
