I didn’t buy this game when it first came out because of the bad review on gamespot.com but the good reviews here on retrolio.com convinced me to buy it. I’ve loved this game and I beat it today beating all the events, etc. It’s a great work out, I play for 30 minutes to 1 hour and I’m always worn out by the end. It’s a fun workout too because I don’t even realize I’m exercising.I plan to purchase the fitness pack add on for $5 that’s included with the game on the playstation store.Love this game and hope they come out with a sequel. I haven’t played the online version yet against other real people but plan to give that a shot also…
Very good
I have never before seen a game so unfairly reviewed by major pro reviewers like IGN and Gamespot. It seems that some very realistic games are outgrowing those sites in that when they require real skill the reviewer is lost and takes it out on the game with an undeserved poor review. This game is amazing. True 1:1 control and so much of a learning curve that you really feel like you are in full control and rewarded for improvement. Totally ignore the pathetic reviews of sites and listen to the real reviews here and by other users.
Thanks, it arrived on time and is satisfied with the way things was handled in a prompt manage business and shipping wise.
I’m not sure what the previous reviewer is talking about “preset moves” since you are throwing punches and blocking like you normally would in a fight. All I can say is that the movement tracking is spot on in the game and I didn’t have any issue with head tracking, although I do have a clear wall behind me. I really like the fact that the game can tell the velocity of your punches, so you do have to put some effort into your swings. I would recommend you really stretch before playing since I was actually feeling some muscle strain in my shoulder muscles after my first session. You will definitely work up a sweat while playing.
using this to get an extra workout. so far so good. adds some fun to exercise
excellent product!
Good. I found it very good in quality. Thanks to retrolio for quick delivery
This game is very well made. The problem is, a lot of people will get frustrated initially and think that this game isn’t very good. The reason for this is that, at first, it’s difficult to orient yourself to the fighter and the punching- you really need to be aware of your fighter’s position to understand how each punch you throw will translate into the punch on-screen. In other words, there is no help from the game that “tracks” and “locks” onto your opponent’s face or other target areas. You really need to punch in the proper plane and space to hit your intended location. Not an easy task at first, but like any other game, you should get better the more you play. I’m sure some people may think the game is broken because of this. They want immediate translation of punching somewhere near the vicinity of the face to equal a punch that connects to the face. That doesn’t happen in real life, and that doesn’t happen in this game, either. So, needless to say, this game is very realistic. If you want automatic punch-to-face and punch-to-body translation without any realistic aiming involved, go play Punch-Out or Fight Night or something. But if you want some serious 1-to-1 aiming action, then The Fight is for you.Another benefit of this game is that it is a great workout. You will definitely work off some major calories playing this. And for those just starting, you WILL be sore the next day (unless you are a trained boxer or martial artist of course). You can even.
