Fun game. Great condition! Sent really quickly. Thank you:) Great graphics and action. I’ve been looking for more gamecube games. So was greatful to find this one
This is a pretty challenging game in “Story Mode”. Basically you pick a primary character (Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael or Michaelangelo) and you are assisted by the 2nd player who plays one of the other turtles. You are faced by a range of opponents, from street punks and mechanical robots to “boss” characters that need multiple, multiple strikes to beat. This game encourages good team play because together you can defeat most enemies and not lose much health in the process. Individually, some of the enemies are near impossible to beat.I only have one complaint (and this is on the Gamecube version).. certain scenes where many mechanical robot “dogs” come out are slow due to the processor getting overburdened with refreshing both the players’ and robots actions. You can actually feel game play slow down. As you eliminate the robots, game play picks up speed.Aside from that, game graphics and sound are pretty good.I actually discovered an “Easter Egg” when we played the game on Halloween. The programmers wrote a function which changed the Turtles’ heads to…. Pumpkins!! I wonder what surprise will happen as we roll into other holidays like Easter! Bunny heads maybe??
Item arrived on time and was exactly as listed.
After watching The new ninja turtles cartoons my children wanted the game. They had fun playing this and enjoyed the other two turtle games as well.
When I heard that there was a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game coming out I thought everything seems to have the ability to make a comeback. I remember playing the classic TMNT games over a decade ago. You know the ones on the NES. They were alot of fun. The funny thing is that it seemed that there was a little more to those classic games than just slicing and dicing your way to the next level. That’s pretty much what you do in story mode. Oh and theres also a vs. mode. It’s a fighting game with a couple of unlockable fighters. I have to say this is a great game to pop in and play with a friend or family member. And who could complain about the liquid smooth look of the game. The graphics are beautiful. Now alot of people say the game is very repetitious, well it is somewhat, however what makes it seem more repetitious is the spoken dialogue by the turtles. Stuff like “crack the whip”, “shell shocker”, “shell-nato”, “turtle wax”, “batter up”, “anyone for stickball? I’m the stick you be the ball”, “coming at ya”, “raw hide” and more. You can picture it , I’m sure. Another thing, the words that pop up when you hit the enemies can be removed by going to options and turning them off. I thought that was cool because they got bothersome after a while. If you enjoy a no nonsense smash and bash.. this should be on your menu, and I’d say go ahead and order it.
My son was thrilled
So we paid 70 bucks for a new version! Got an old used one all scratched up and it had a totally different game booklet in it inside of the tmnt booklet.
It works great! It has been fun replaying through all the levels again! My brother and I played this game a loooong time ago, but for some reason we got rid of it…. Good times, good times~~
Well, I have to admit this was an impulse purchase. I was a big fan of TMNT as a kid, and now as an adult with the means, I just had to try this game out. I was impressed by the graphics, looks just like an after school cartoon. I was disapointed by the fact that it is only two-player. The developers must not have realized that all new game systems have four player ability. And I have to agree, the tournament mode Sucks! Good luck trying to get a lick in against the computer. I’ve only been able to win once. But the story mode more than makes up for it. If you’re a Turtle fan, you won’t be dissapointed. If you’re still aprehensive, you can always rent it first!
I almost forgot to write a review. I’ve been wanting to try out this game for a while and when i saw they had sevral Ninja turtle games for the gamecube i had to spring up and buy it. I already saw gameplay videos for it so i know it’s a great game already. My favorite Turtle has to be Donatello right now. Despite the constant things they say with each attack which won’t bug me to much. I don’t know about the other versions of it yet bit the graphics look simmlar to the Gc version. This is my prefered way of playing certain games as it’s easier to controll each turtle. I’m gonna like playing this a lot. Recomened for all systems.
