I am a huge SSX fan and this builds right up on it. The characters are improved although they did little to no improvement on the graphics. The new tricks and tracks are hella-sweet. Hours and hours of entertainment. New tunes. A must have for any PS2 collection.
I’m a 15 year old girl, maybe not someone you’d expect to be a psII fanatic, but, oh well. I got playstation 2 in december, and I did not have the original SSX, but I found out that it didn’t really matter if you did or not; SSX Tricky is awesome either way. You start with a small amount of characters and 3 different courses, but as you win medals in the races you unlock characters and new coarses. There’s a huge variety of tricks you can do, and while it took me a little while to get the hang of it, now I’m experimenting with uber tricks, which are special, very cool looking tricks you can get by doing other tricks to fill up your boost bar. If you dont have SSX, dont worry about it; it’s not neccessary to understand or like this sequel. I think it’s a game that anyone would like – my 7 year old cousin loved it, but I let my dad try it, and he loved it too.Some racing games are fun with other people, but boring by yourself. This one is fun either way, especially since you have the opportunity to play world circuit if you’re a single player. And try to complete all the tricks in your trick book – if you do, you get a special uber board which, while I haven’t gotten it yet, looks like it will be amazing. Get this game!

When I first got this game I played it 24/7. I play it as soon as I am done with my homework. IT IS THE BEST!
This is a great game for PS2. When i got PS2 for Cristmas I wanted to get some more games. I got SSX Tricky. I will admit that some of the tricks are close to imposable. But still my friends and I have a great time playing it. Watching the tricks are just as exiting as playing the game. The Uber tricks are really cool. I would recomend this game for anyone.
i think ssx tricky is one of the best games ive ever played on. im 14 and people might think, oh shes only a teenager, its just a phase shes going through but no, i think its brilliant. it took me a couple of weeks to get into it and now i can stop playing on it!!!
Truly, an awesome game. Daughter got game for Christmas and Dad won’t let her play. -Show-off gold medals are more realistically attained. -Ubertricks are just as the name implies. -Personality conflicts add a more human feel.-extra DVD material is cool, especially Bif Naked, my improper crush of the month. (Where is Lucy Liu’s video at?)-New tracks-Subtle changes in well known tracks, make them seem altogether New.
SSX tricky is SSX, with 2 new courses.. and the old ones remixed, most of the time to the point where you don’t even recognize them!The trick level is deeper, the number of chracters is much larger.There is also a point now to completing your trickbook which includes a new board.If you liked SSX, don’t pass up on this game.
This is a game that cannot be beat. Good game options, having more options of things to do than you can believe. The special Uber moves are the most amazing thing I, personally, have ever seen. Showoffs are great, trying to beat the cutoff. A must buy:Pros: Amazing Uber moves, good racing, great personalized taunts, cool tricksCons: Some of the characters are stupid– but does that matter?
This game was exactly what I had hoped. It plays well and takes us right back to a time of fruit loops, Spiderman undies and gaming on Saturday morning.
