What’s good:-The controls are not bad. Others will say differently, but the web zip at least is cool. I don’t remember that in the second game-You’re never bored. The game doesn’t end after you beat the final bosses.-Villains are definitely beatable if you know your stuff, but not impossible-The music. Excellent movie-tie in music-Fun. There’s stuff to do, although doing all of it is pretty tough and may take several tries (of playing the whole game)-Funny audio segmentsWhat’s bad:-The graphics, although they surpass Spider-man 2. Mary Jane’s graphics are unsightly-There’s not too much interaction with the city when you’re not in a mission (for example, you can’t go into a building)-Harry Osborn/The New Goblin’s storyline…incredibly so-More emphasis seems to be on the Lizard’s storyline (which is stupid, since the character will probably be used for a Spider-man 4) than on the main ones-Final battle FMVs and storyline…I don’t understand why they just can’t stick to and expand the movie-The game is overambitious, trying to be a movie tie-in game and a stand-alone game…which is why both goals are far from successful-You would think that you would get more character depth somewhere in a game than in the movie, as games are much longer in length…but alas…-Kraven was pointless. As was Carlyle (people who play this game because of the movies alone won’t understand why this character is included…or who the hell he is)-Storyline!!Worth a rental. Definitely worth a rental..
Made this purchase for my sibling because of his good grades, and he’s a mastermind at video games, so I was happy to get this for him. I don’t know much about it, but so far, he’s been glued to the TV playing it, so I guess that’s a good thing. (:
Other people say that the graphics arent that good! But the game is really fun! If a game has good graphics but not good gameplay that’s just stupid! It is a fun game and worth the money that is paid for it! Trust me buy it!
Spiderman 3 is excellent. It is a definite inprovement from its predecessors, most notably because of an all-new and improved combat system, more intuitive swinging controls, and better boss fights. While it is not perfect – the graphics are not as good as Spiderman 2, the game doesn’t do a good job of following the story of the movie, etc. – it is still the best Spiderman game I have ever played, even compared to the next-generation Spidey games.Okay, first of all – I would have got the PS3 version, but I didn’t have a PS3 at the time. So, this review is of the PS2 version.First of all, let’s do the bad:1. The story has too many bonus Marvel villians (Morbius, Shriek, Kraven) that it doesn’t focus barely at all on the villians of the movie (Sandman, Venom, and New Goblin).2. The graphics are very sub-par. The character models of the civilians and Spiderman are well done, but the city itself looks mediocre. Pop-in is very noticable throughout the game, and when you get up on a high building, you can look down and see all the buildings without any textures. It’s still at least passable, but the games graphics is brought down by a few glaring flaws.Now on to the good (which there is much of):1. The swinging is much improved from SM2. There is no more of Spidey swinging and then suddenly letting go of the web he was swinging on, only to fall to his death because he couldn’t swing another web for some reason. This is a great game for teens and they really like the role playing in the game. Not easily beaten though
This game is pretty good.It has fun fighting,and the missions are not half bad.But I would say that the graphics are not as good as i would expect.They are OK,but nothing as good as PS3,or 360.Overall you can do many missions.You can fight bad guys,take photos,and you can unlock alot of new moves.You get to go all around Manhattan doing missions.Also this game does not stick to the movies storyline.You get to go and do anything you want to do but some of the missions are related to the movie.Overall this is a good Game
