Spider-Man is back for another web-slinging, crime fighting smash hit! Based on the plot of the movie Spider-Man 2, Doctor Octopus and his henchmen strike the city Manhattan with fear and it’s up to you to stop them! Use Spidey’s web-crawling abilities, spider-sense, super strength and soaring jumping power to bring justice where it’s due. This is a great game and totally worth buying.
Price game unbeatable
Being the first reviewer of this game to have actually PLAYED it, I enjoyed it. If you have Spider-Man:Mysterio’s Menace, then you’ll be pretty familiar with the gameplay. There is a 3-d section of the game that’s pretty cool as you choose levels and missions, but otherwise it’s a standard side-scroller. The first level has you delivering pizzas. Unfortunately, they give you no idea where your delivery is supposed to go, so you frantically search all the buildings inside and out to find them (HINT: there is a family seated in an apartment in the last building waiting for the pizza. You can only reach them through the air ducts). That’s a little frustrating, but the rest of the game gets better. I personally hate the “Chase the bad guy” idea, and this one makes you do just that as you chast Doc Ock through the city. Again, more frustrating “do this again” times, but you can make it.The biggest letdown is the lack of any vocal work in it. “Max Payne” for GBA showed us it could be done, I just wish the Spider-Man team had taken advantage of it.Mostly a good (if somewhat repetitive) game. You’ll probably like it.
Came day 1 of the guessed delivery date, great quality. Also bought it for under a dollar, which is extremely surprising. Great purchase.
very good
This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my grandson and he loves it. He says it is just what he wanted!
So far I’m stuck on the same level. It’s fun but I can’t get past the level. If you guys have any cheat codes or hints that you could send me, send them to: geoffg88@onwisconsin.com. I would love to have some help. But overall the game is fun and it keeps you busy. So go and get it today!Rated: E(Everyone) For Violence.
I bought as a gift to my best friends son and he loves it. There’s no complaints so I’m happy!
While it doesn’t boast any revolutionary features for a GBA game, Spider-Man 2 is still a fun game that GBA owners and fans of the web-head will enjoy. The game is presented mostly in a side scrolling view with typical 2-D GBA graphics fare. Spidey himself is smoothly animated, as are the various enemies throughout the game. The story is told by way of a combination of stills from the blockbuster film, some slickly 3-D rendered artwork, and text dialogue, and presents the story well while incorporating new villains (The Lizard and Rhino to go along with Doctor Octopus) into the mix. Spider-Man 2’s only downside are the never ending generic baddies and repititous puzzles that can grate on your nerves, but other than that, Spider-Man 2 for the GBA is solid throughout. All in all, if you own a GBA, and whether you are a fan of the comic or of the movies, then give this a try.
