Sonic and Tails are back for another adventure as they again battle the evil Dr. Eggman (AKA Dr. Robotnik), who is desperately trying to collect all the Chaos Emeralds in order to rebuild his Death Egg. Our heroes must find the Chaos Emeralds before Dr. Eggman does, but winning the race won’t be easy — a new adversary, Knuckles the Echidna, has arrived on the scene and will do whatever he can to keep Sonic and Tails from reaching their goal. It has to be one the best games of all time. It’s graphics are much better then Sonic 2 and it rivals the Mario series on Nintendo SNES. This game is a classic and a good one.
Classic. It works very well
Sonic 3 is good, but short. Sonic and Knuckles is okay, but even shorter. The games are near perfect when combined. The zones are huge! The bosses are hard but creative! The soundtrack is way better then Sonic 2! Describing the experience takes forever. The game opens with a clip of Sonic flying towards the Floating Island in his airplane. He jumps off (OH NO!) and then turns into Super Sonic (YAY!). Then Knuckles the Enchidna is introduced, he steals Sonic’s chaos emeralds and runs off. The first level is Angel Island. It seems a typical tropical theme, but then a robot comes down and lights the island on fire! The entire Act 2 was on fire! I give Angel Island a 8/10, it was really neat.After clearing Angel Island, Knuckles hits a switch that took out the bridge Sonic was standing on, leading to Hydrocity. Hyrdocity was very exciting, twice as much as Sonic 2’s Chemical Plant zone. Sonic zoomed down water slides, corkscrews, and conveyer belts. The Hyrdocity theme was very peppy, it fit the zone perfectly. It definetly deserves a 9/10, I loved it.A water geyser takes Sonic to Marble Garden. Marble Garden was okay, but it did not have as much charm as some of the other zones. It was neat that Eggman was constantly causing the land to shift with his giant drill. At the end of the zone Eggman flees and Sonic must get Tails to fly him up into the sky to chase down Eggman. Marble Garden gets a solid 7/10.I guess Tails wanted to stop for cotton candy or something, because he drops.

This game has great graphics, for a genisis game that is. You should play as tails first to get through the game, then play as sonic for the extra challenge. Although the levels are fun, there aren’t enough of them, so I suggest buying Sonic3 and Knuckles, if you can. Either way, it’s a great game.

I am a huge fan Sega Genesis, I have been since i was only kid, and the Sonic games have always been my favorite games. Sonic 3 is the best of all of them and includes new characters, attacks, items, and fetures not in the previous two games. The best feture of Sonis 3 is the ability to save games to be played later. In the game itself there are better levels, better enemies, and harder bosses. To help Sonic, there are new sheilds that can block him from certain enemies or even block him from fire and help him breath under water. In this game Dr. Robotnik has help from Knuckles, the brainwashed guardian of the Caos Emeralds. Knuckles pops up from time to time to set treps for Sonic, but in the end he really is a good guy. Tails now has the ability to fly and even swim in water, which is more than a big help alot of the time. The last thing I really like about Sonic 3 is, it can be combined with Sonic & Knuckles to make on big game and even play as Knuckles. All and all it is the best Sonic game ever and must for in Sega Genesis/Sonic fan.
This game Rules. But there are two downsides. First, there is a part in Carnival Zone that kept me playing so long I finally made my cousin do it. And he was 12 then! Second, once you beat the game the credits come up. And there is no way to stop them then! The good part is that there are moe secrets that the game hides and there are new secrets that can be only unlocked with a certain character. The best thing about it (and I’m spoiling a secret of the game now) is that there is a S-E-C-R-E-T that can only be unlocked with a Sonic & Knuckles cartridge. I’ve said enough now! BUT IT RULZ!
