The player races a team of series characters through levels to amass rings, defeat robots. And collect the seven Chaos Emeralds needed to defeat Doctor Eggman. Within each level, the player switches between the team’s three characters, who each have unique abilities, to overcome obstacles. However, the game was the first multi-platform Sonic game, produced for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Windows platforms. The team wanted Sonic Heroes to appeal beyond Sonic series fans and so designed a game that did not depend on the continuation of its predecessors. But the team revived elements not seen since the Genesis Sonic games, such as special stages and the Chaotix characters. Sega released Sonic Heroes in Japan in December 2003 and worldwide in early 2004.
Moreover, reviewers were polarized. They praised the game’s focus on fast gameplay and noted its similarities to the series’ original 2D entries, a choice that some considered an improvement from the Sonic Adventure games. It is a fun game but I thought it would be better than I expected to be. While the game is fun, it is a hard game to complete, like the Sonic Adventure series.

i remember i used to have this game and i bought it because the original got scratched way to much. But now years later it does not disappoint.
Over all, I think that Sonic Heroes is a great game. Like all games, it has some pros and cons. Here are some of them. Pros- In story mode you can choose from four teams of three, easily switching between the characters on your team. Each team has a different difficulty level along with a little bit different story mode. There are alot of unlockable multiplayer (2-player) games. Also this game has a tutorilal. The enviornments in the game are really cool. Cons-The game is a little bit glitchy, but not enough that it should keep you from buying it. Some times the game can get confusing but if you read the manual and go through the tutorial you probably can figure it out(besides who wants a game that takes them less than a week to finish? Not me). Also some people say that it is sort of like a racing game. You are supposed to go through the stages fast, but on your first time through It’s not necessary. I would reccomend Sonic Heroes to anyone that is considering purchasing it.

It’s a bundle of fun and it’s meant for mostly single player stuff but other than that, 8/10.
It is an awesome game and i recommend it to anyone who is fans of sonic the hedge hog, knuckles, or tails. The graphics are very cool also. Thank u for this awesome game.
This game is one the best sonic games ever, it has 14 stages and 4 different ways to play them all! Which means they are also 56 challenges in total and 7 special stages. This game has over 10 hours of gameplay, and even has a 2 player mode.

Sonic heroes is a graceful and excellent attempt at combining adventure, speed, exploration, and it cleverly destroys repetition in the process.The game’s base is simple. You can take control of 4 teams, team sonic, team dark, team rose, and team chaotix. This is where the game truly shines, the 4 different teams give sonic heroes a sense of replayability unlike any game before it. Games like jak and Daxter, Super mario sunshine, and voodoo vince really don’t have anything on this game in terms of replayabality.However, instead of stopping there, sonic team decided to make the levels truly brilliant. The levels are different, vigrant and alive. THe fact that this is a non stop thrill ride through picure perfect levels completely rocks.It is sad, though, that the minor problems from this game garnered bad reviews from bigger magazines and .coms. For instance, falling through levels is a bad glitch in the game. It will piss you off, the targeting system also goes wacko alot of the time. 90% of the time this isn’t a problem but be noted, this isn’t a perfect bugless title.Anything else that sucks? Ya, the voices, nolstalgia for kids and fans of the show but another degrading element.DO the bugs and the voices make this a bad game? No, the multiple gameplay styles and awesome experience shouldn’t be left out. If you buy one game this year it should be this one, it really hits gold.
