My grandson loved this. He had the Skylanders regular figurines. He only wanted the Giants. He plays with them all the time. It was what he wanted and is constructed well.
He thought it was a new portal and at first his face fell – then he realized it was a new disc and that the portal he has would work and he was smiley!

My son really enjoys the game. Not looking forward to spending the money on more figures though. Nice that the portal from the first game works with this one, but all the first generation figures now have a second generation version. The second generation ones can have more powers and level higher, so you get to buy all new versions of the first group. Sheesh.
